That requires a wiring diagram and we do not have it.

some of the european suzukis had 2 small wires on the starter motor solenoid.
one of these was the trigger from the ignition switch, but the other supplies power to the ignition electrics (fuel pump and coil) when the ignition is in the start position.
if the second wire is loose or broken it will cause the problem you are describing

Try replacing the instrument cluster dimmer knob to the left of the steering wheel. It has been the cause on a couple of my samurais
