There is not a jamb switch. Everything is built into the door latch.

check at the bottom of the pillar just inside where the sealing rubber is on the door or check on the front door pillar near the bottom door hinge.

Quite likely, but check for power at the switch. Many times the wires in the door jamb get broken from wear, especially the driver's door jamb. Good luck.

I would look for a button switch or 'door jamb switch' which should close or open depending on whether the door is closed or open.

The door jamb is built into the door latch, that's why you don't see the old style door jamb switch. The door lock is also built into the latch. May have other issues with the door locks.

It's probably inside the door, built into the latch mechanism. I don't know for sure though.
