Where is the heater resistor on a 2005 dodge dakota? Behind glove box?

Cannot locate this resistor. Blower fan works on high only, just want to change the resistor if I can find it? This is frustrating - no answer or clue in 5 hours here.

Should be just above the blower motor. You will need to remove the glove box door to gain access.

Heater fan only works on high why would that be?

Blower motor resistors are shot or the switch is bad.
In high speed blower motor gets Direct B+, it doesn't go threw the resistors.

I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota, the heater fan does not work in high

That would be my guess as well.

To get at the blower motor resistor is located in the passenger side footwell area and is mounted with two hex screws. near the blower motor itself

Sometimes it is easier to remove the glove box which is done by opening it and squeezing the sides together to release the tabs on it and letting it open farther than usual.

Locating heater blower motor resistor

the resistor is behind your glove box. open the box and push in the sides to release it and let it hang down...the resistor is right there. I didn't try to replace it, a friend did it, but the part was under $20.

Heater only works on high setting

I'm assuming you mean the fan(blower) only works on high? If this is the case you have a bad blower motor resistor. It's easy to change. It'll be on the lower right of the blower box. Kind of behind the glove box.

2002 dodge grand caravan heater blower only works on high spped

If you are looking for the fan blower resistor, it is located behind the glove box. No tools need to get to it and a nut driver to remove the 2 screws to replace it. A 20$ part.

Heater fan regulation

2002 Grand Caravan. The rear heater also has a resistor for the fan speed control.(3 speed) It is located under the rear passenger side plastic cover. You can take off the rear tail gate lower plastic piece and this will let you pull out the side panel. You can reach in and take out the two screws that hold in the resistor and unhook the wiring adapter. You do not have to take off the whole side panel as you can reach in from the back. The resistor unit can be bought at you local dodge dealer.
