SOURCE: 2000 Nissan Maxima rear axle bearings are humming,
rapeck: The Maxima rear axle bearings are manufactured as a hub assembly. There is a ring for the ABS which is fitted to the hub which must be removed and installed on the replacement hub.
A puller or other method is used to remove it and install it.
Aside from that, taking the caliper off and hanging it, removing the brake rotor and removing the axle nut. Torquing the axle nut is necessary. so there you have it...
SOURCE: What are the torque specs
the torque are not mention out side any authorised workshop for that you need to visit the nearest authorised dealer or service centre & leave the rest of work to them without any hazard or trouble or either can start from a torque of 25 to 45 lbs. do not exeed the limit or other wise the nut or even the Axel can get broken in the prossess of facinating it so till then my friend have happy motoring & see you soon.!
the 2/3 shift solenoid is most likely shot not an easy job its inside the valve body agood tranny shop should easily diagnose this
SOURCE: 2004 Nissan Maxima temp gauge fluctuation
well the temperature control gage is connected to the engine block and consists of 1 wire for the reading of the motor heat either the sensor is going bad or you need to check your coolant levels in the radiator make sure the engine is cool before opening the thermostat cap to the radiator so not to get burnt ...also make sure the wire itself is not grounding out on the engine block to give the gage to give such a readout look to the engine and usually on the drivers side lower the plug wires you should see a plug with a wire coming from it ensure the wire is not rubbing on anything .
SOURCE: Nissan tech explained that I have sludge in my
There are no hard and fast rules for curing an engine of sludge buildup. If it's really bad, flushing the engine might be the only cure.
If you do decide to do an oil flush, first drain your engine of all it's oil, but leave the old oil filter in place. Next fill it up with flushing oil and run it at a fast idle for about 20 minutes. Finally, drain all this off (and marvel at the **** that comes out with it), replace the oil filter, refill with a good synthetic oil and voila! Clean engine
