SOURCE: 2000 Nissan Maxima rear axle bearings are humming,

rapeck: The Maxima rear axle bearings are manufactured as a hub assembly. There is a ring for the ABS which is fitted to the hub which must be removed and installed on the replacement hub.
A puller or other method is used to remove it and install it.
Aside from that, taking the caliper off and hanging it, removing the brake rotor and removing the axle nut. Torquing the axle nut is necessary. so there you have it...

SOURCE: What are the torque specs

the torque are not mention out side any authorised workshop for that you need to visit the nearest authorised dealer or service centre & leave the rest of work to them without any hazard or trouble or either can start from a torque of 25 to 45 lbs. do not exeed the limit or other wise the nut or even the Axel can get broken in the prossess of facinating it so till then my friend have happy motoring & see you soon.!

SOURCE: 2004 Nissan Maxima temp gauge fluctuation

well the temperature control gage is connected to the engine block and consists of 1 wire for the reading of the motor heat either the sensor is going bad or you need to check your coolant levels in the radiator make sure the engine is cool before opening the thermostat cap to the radiator so not to get burnt ...also make sure the wire itself is not grounding out on the engine block to give the gage to give such a readout look to the engine and usually on the drivers side lower the plug wires you should see a plug with a wire coming from it ensure the wire is not rubbing on anything .

SOURCE: Nissan tech explained that I have sludge in my

There are no hard and fast rules for curing an engine of sludge buildup. If it's really bad, flushing the engine might be the only cure.

If you do decide to do an oil flush, first drain your engine of all it's oil, but leave the old oil filter in place. Next fill it up with flushing oil and run it at a fast idle for about 20 minutes. Finally, drain all this off (and marvel at the **** that comes out with it), replace the oil filter, refill with a good synthetic oil and voila! Clean engine

2004 nissan maxima rear wheel bearings

The job is pretty straight forward, if you have to remove your wheel for access the the nut on the axle then do so. Otherwise, pop off the dust cap to the nut, take out the the cotter pin, bust the nut loose... (and if this is the first time you have replaced it then be ready do put some muscle in it) jack it up, remove tire, remove brake caliper, remove the caliper mount, remove rotor, back-off the rest of the axle nut, then the hub should just need a hit or two from the back and should come right off. Install backwards.... pretty easy, but if you don't have any tools, which it sounds like, you will need a break-over bar 1/2" drive, and the nut which if I remember correctly was a 22mm or 24mm, which is pretty big for someone who just has a store bought 100 peice tool set

My abs light is on after I changed my brakes I changed my brakes because the abs was kicking in for some reason unknown and now the light is on and I don't know why 2004 Nissan maxima 3.5 se

If the ABS light is on, it's a good idea to find out what codes are stored.

The OBD-II system allows many codes to be read but a specialist with an ABS BrakeScan tool will be needed in order to find the codes for the ABS system for your vehicle.

I bought a Brakescan tool that works on most Ford, Chrysler, and GM vehicles from 1996 through 2005 but, I don't think it will work with the Nissan Maxima.

So, that's why I would direct you to the dealer for this one.

Removing a axle shaft from a 1987 nissan maxima

if you already have the axle out of the hub/strut assembly, try taking a chisel or prybar and putting it where the axle enters the trans. These have steel snap-rings that can really hold them in there, so you will have to use a little force. If you can fit a screwdriver in the gap, try using one screwdriver on either side and rock it back and forth. Hope this helps :)
