A reverse flush may help, and you can do it if you have access to a garden hose.

If your passenger side is/was wet then you'll need to replace the heater core, which is a long job (around 7-10 hours) or $1000 or more for a mechanic to do the job.

Why is my heat or air is not blowing and car is running hot

How hot is the engine running in degrees f? Does the radiator fan run?
With hvac turned on, check voltage and ground at the blower motor. If good voltage and ground, suspect the blower motor is faulty.

The heat blows cold and hot. Is it the resistor module or the themostat

The resistor controls fan speed, not temp.
If the heat comes and goes, it could be the thermostat, or the radiator could be low on coolant, or have air pockets, or one of the blend doors may not be working correctly.
The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and the vents.

The heat is not getting hot in the front but the back heat blows out hot heat. Whats the possible problem?

If you can get cold air blowing out the front vents, the front heater door is not working properly. If you don't get air blowing out, check the front heater fan and its resistor block.

Defroster fan blows but no hot air comes out

If the heat blows hot, the defrost should also. If the heat does not blow hot air, it could be your thermostat, your heater core valve, or the heater core itself. with the vehicle being a 2002, the heater core is the least likely.

2001 pt cruiser no heat

did you check the fluid level by removing the rad. cap? Radiator should be full to top. If Chryslers are low on coolant, the heater will not blow warm air.
