How many windows fail, and in what way.
all dead. , stuck up or down
wont, move, or makes noise and not move
silent and not move
see, how blind the blind are???? endless
if all are dead, fuse.
if one is only dead, ELABORATE. what dead means.
wont work tells me little.
is one silent too?
if it makes some noise, consider that a window can jam.
even though the magic electrics all work.

if one fails check voltage to the motor up or down
if 12vdc reaches motor check for jamming
if motor is silent with 12vdc, then its bad.
if motor spins inside (wirrling sound) the clutch in side, slips
on window jams, the clutch protects silly kids getting hurt.
kid A tries to crush kid Bs head protection, bs.

There is a fuse for windows. However, if only one window is non operational, there is either a short specifically affecting that window or the motor for the window is broken.

SOURCE: all power windows inoperative

Check the wiring bundle going into the drivers door by pulling back the rubber cover look for broken wires, all window controls pass through the drivers door before going to the others.
My local salvage yard was able to fix me up with a good useable bundle.
Jeep dealer was not able to get it.

SOURCE: power windows only operate from the driver master

Check the ground circuits. Find out what wires are the ground suppllies. take a 12 volt test light from battery positive and probe the circuit if it lights up the ground is good is it does not bad ground. I would first check the wires in the door jam. where the harness from the car goes into the door. pull back the rubber cover I have seen tons of wire get damaged in there from the door opening and closing all the time. hope this helps.

1997 Buick Park Ave, passenger side and rear windows stopped working.

You say the driver window works? wouldn't be a main fuse or fusible link then -driver door locks and window wouldn't work either. Each door has a module inside (computer) . The driver door has a circuit breaker power feed an a fuse DDM fuse 10amp located in rear junction block circuit breaker is located in under hood maxi fuse block. The circuit breaker also feeds battery voltage to the other door modules too. PDM - passenger door module fuse 10amp located in the instrument panel fuse box and the RDM - rear door module RDM fuse 10amp located in the rear fuse box - under the back seat.

Each power window is connected to a permanent magnet motor. The motor raises or lowers the glass when the door module applies voltage to the motor. The direction the motor turns depends on the polarity of the supply voltage provided by the associated door module. The 2 front doors have their own separate modules. The rear seat contains a single module, which controls both of the rear power windows.
A serial digital communications link, called the simple bus interface, is used for communications between door modules and the driver's door power window switches. The use of serial digital communications allows the use of a single wire to convey switching information between the power door lock switch and the driver's door module (DDM). The serial communication is also used in order to transmit switching information from the DDM to the other 2 door modules.
The door modules apply battery voltage of the correct polarity to the respective window motor when any local, or power door lock switch, UP switch is operated, driving the window up. Battery voltage is applied to the respective window motor in the opposite polarity when any local, or power window switch, DOWN switch is operated, driving the window down.

Driver Door Module (DDM)
The driver's door module (DDM) directly controls the driver's door window motor and the express down window feature. The DDM sends window UP/DOWN messages received from the power door lock switch to the passenger door module (PDM) and to the rear door module (RDM) over the simple bus interface (SBI) line. The DDM also contains a class 2 data link which communicates with the other vehicle system modules. The left front power door locks and the outside power mirror are also controlled through the DDM.
Passenger Door Module (PDM)
The passenger door module (PDM) controls the passenger's door window motor. The PDM controls the passenger's door window directly from the right front power window switch or from instructions over the simple bus interface (SBI). The right front power door locks and the outside power mirror are also controlled through this module.
Rear Door Module (RDM)
The rear door module (RDM) controls both of the rear door window motors. The RDM controls the rear windows directly from the rear door window switches or from instructions over the simple bus interface (SBI).

2004 Chevy Tahoe Electrical Issues

Look at the end of the dash and between the drivers side door for a second fuse panel. I think everything you mention works on one data bus. You can remove the button pad on the drivers door. Since it gets used all th3 time i# might have gone bad messing up the works.

What fuse controls Freestar power windows

They should be controlled by the same fuse, most likely it is the Power Window Switch or Motor. I would check those first.

at all stations?
all fuses, in both boxes. (did you read the operators guide to find them,
some cars have a circuit break (thermal) for windows,
and is located in the fuse box.
all this info is at alldata.com
ill look. ill respond , as you are a pro DIY person, can read schematics. if not , its just a guessing game.
IT IS a FUSE, not a breaker. but each motor in door has CB.
UNDER HOOD 40am Fuse #13
then fuse 23 underdash and fuse 8 same.
then the relay.same place.
and the relay is controlled by, master station (drivers)
the driver location doesnt need the relay to work.
the relay feeds power to all other window controls
so the master station is unique.
log in to alldata.com and see the pages on power windows.
here are some tid bits.
battery pull warning

Resetting the power window control unit is required after performing the following procedures: Disconnecting the battery, Removing the No. 6 (7.5 A) and/or the No. 23 (20 A) fuses from the under-dash fuse/relay box or disconnecting the driver's door wire harness.
and
window relearn/reset.
Control Unit Reset
  1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
  2. Move the driver's window all the way down by holding the driver's switch firmly down; when the window reaches the bottom, hold the driver's window switch firmly down for 2 seconds.
  3. Move the driver's window all the way up by holding the driver's switch firmly up; when the window reaches the top, hold the driver's window switch firmly up for 2 seconds.

  5. Check the window and power door lock operations

Power windon fuse

There are really 2 fuses that control your power windows and they are located in the power distribution box inside your engine compartment. If all your windows aren't working you may have other problems though. In the number 6 position in the box (see picture below) is a 30 amp fuse that fuse controls your drivers side window. The fuse in the number 10 position (30 amp) controls the passenger and vent windows but also is the fuse for the radio. I hope this helps a little anyway and good luckclifford224_92.jpg

Where is power window control unit located

usually power windows have a relay that sends current to the windows due to the high current flow that the switch can not handle.
So, the switch works through a fuse and when you activate the switch it sends power to the relay. The relay then closes and sends power to the window motor. Look for a relay either in the fuse panel or in the engine compartment fuse/relay ox. check owner manual for location.
