Hi Connie, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.
Connie, you can't disable the security system because it is wired to other controllers like the engine controller and disabling it will cause the engine not to start and run. Go to my auto-repair-website below, click on 'Contact Us" and tell me exactly what is happening that the security system must be disabled. Don't worry the website and the help is free. Your issue may be the switch inside the drivers door handle, where the security switch is located. It's mounted to the back of the lock cylinder inside the door. It most likely fell off the lock and it is stuck in ARMED position, not allowing the car to start. Remove door panel and look at the lock on the back and check it. The alarm switch is a small white plastic piece right at the back of the lock and it has wires coming out of it. Check it and let me know what you have found.

There are two types of alarm that was put in for Dodge and Chrysler depending what type you have I will give you the easy defeat. But first The BCM (Body control moduel) goes crazy why dont you try this method first. Roll down the window. Put the key in the ignition .Disconnect the battery negative post and positive and put them together for 2 minutes, then reconnect the positive first then the neagative. Then turn the key to the ACC position but do not crank the engine. leave for two minutes. Then see if that start the vehicle. I

I would check to see if the ignition key has a little chip in the shank if it. This is a computer diode. These diodes send a signal to the computer so that the computer recognizes your key only to start the car. Problem is over time or if the key is placed near a magnet the diode is demagnetized and the security light will come on and shut down the fuel injectors. You can by pass the security system but it is very difficult to do.
