SOURCE: accelerating from a stop at b/t 30-35mph transmition hesitates

Your transmission is going out, sorry to be the bearer of bad news dude. You have an internal pressure leak. That's why it's catching and releasing. You have to build up the pressure in it to get it to engage the clutchplates. Everytime it does that, you're getting closer and closer to it not going back into gear. Park it if you can, otherwise you will be towing it in a couple of weeks if driven every day.

You need to remove the top cover 1st. Then remove the gray trim covers on the left and right banks by pulling straight up.You will find individual coils in each cylinder. Disconnect the connector of the coil and pull the coil straight up.The plugs are under each coil.

SOURCE: Does replacing the brake booster

If you can reach the retaining bolts and maneuver it out of the vehicle without removing eh tank then no. If you are blocked from accessing the bolts that hold it in place then it will have to be removed.

The Transmission Range Sensor (TRS) is part of the solenoid module, which is mounted to the top of the valve
body inside the transmission.
The Transmission Range Sensor (TRS) has five switch contact pins that:
² Determine shift lever position
² Supply ground to the Starter Relay in Park and Neutral only.
² Supply +12 V to the backup lamps in Reverse only.
The TRS also has an integrated temperature sensor (thermistor) that communicates transmission temperature to the
TCM and PCM.

Where is the back up light switch located on a 2004 Ford F150 with automatic transmission.

The "reverse switch" or backup switch is part of the DTR ( Digital Transmission Range Sensor ) on the driver's side of the trans, about half way on the trans.
This has ( if memory serves me correctly ) 14 wires from it, as the neutral switch ( starting ) and reverse lamps are only part of the operation ( other parts include the SOTF for the 4x4 ).
