How to fix code P1266 on HINO 700

Code P1266 on a HINO 700 can indicate a fault or issue with the injection control pressure system. Here are some steps to fix this code:
  1. Check the engine oil level and ensure it is at the correct level. Low oil level can cause issues with the injection control pressure system.
  2. Inspect the oil filter and replace it if necessary. A clogged or dirty oil filter can restrict oil flow and cause pressure issues.
  3. Check for any leaks or damage in the injection control pressure system. Look for oil leaks around the high-pressure oil pump, hoses, or fittings.
  4. Inspect the fuel injectors for any signs of damage or leaks. Faulty injectors can cause issues with the injection control pressure system.
  5. If there are no visible issues, it may be necessary to use a diagnostic tool or scanner to further troubleshoot the problem. The scanner can read and interpret the error code and provide more specific information on the exact cause of the issue.
  6. If you are unable to identify or fix the issue yourself, it is recommended to take the vehicle to a qualified mechanic or HINO dealership for further diagnosis and repair.
Keep in mind that these steps are general guidelines and may vary depending on the specific model and year of the HINO 700. It is always best to consult the vehicle's owner's manual or seek professional help for accurate and specific instructions.

I have a 2015 volkswagon passat. And the low oil light keeps coming on and I checked the oil yesterday and the light went off and came back on today. But it's not the oil pressure light. ?

Keith, it probably is the oil pressure light.

Low oil level causes low oil pressure. But, as you say .. your oil level is okay. It may be the oil pressure sender which is at fault. There's every possibility that your oil pressure is fine, but the sender is sending a false signal to your dashboard which gives the 'low oil level' warning light.

Get the mechanic at your local dealership to stick his head under the hood. You'll get a diagnosis in seconds. I don't think you have too much to worry about .. just that 'low oil level' warning light is a bit unsettling ..

Light

This is the "Low Oil Pressure Warning" light. It is RED for a reason! When this light (or any RED warning light for that matter) comes on, pull over and shut the engine OFF at once. Allowing the engine to run with insufficient oil pressure can cause a catastrophic failure in mere seconds. Such a failure can cost thousands of dollars to repair.
This warning is most often the result of a very low oil level as indicated when checking on the oil dipstick. The engine oil level should be maintained as close to the "full" mark as possible - without exceeding it. Oil should never be allowed to drop below the "low" mark on the dipstick. If the oil level is shown to be between full and low, the light is probably coming on as a result of a faulty oil pump (the oil level should be checked with the vehicle parked on level ground, with the engine OFF). A faulty oil pump is unable to pump the oil with enough pressure to reach all the moving parts of the engine that require lubrication. Without proper lubrication, connected moving parts heat up, expand and seize. Moving parts are expected to move - not be prevented from moving.
If your engine shut down, it may be the result of some of the internal parts seizing. Hopefully, this is not the case. Check the oil level and top off as needed to bring the level up and attempt to start the engine and have the vehicle checked by a trusted mechanic.
Good luck!

Headlight warning buzzer not working on 2006 toyota celica

instructions:
  • 1 Turn the ignition key to the "II" position.

  • 2 Check the lights on the dash. You should see a variety of dash lights light up. One of those lights will be a "Check engine" light. This light should stay lit with the ignition key in the "II" position. The rest of the lights should go out. If the "Check engine" light begins to blink, you may have a problem with one of the vehicle's electronic components. Consult your owner's manual or call your dealership for possible servicing issues.
  • 3 Start the engine. The "check engine" light should go out after a few seconds. If it does not, this can indicate either a maintenance interval has been reached or a more serious problem with the vehicle's emissions control system. Again, it is advised to consult your owner's manual or call the dealership for service.
  • 4 Check for an illuminated "SRS" light on the dash. The SRS light indicates a problem with the supplemental restraint system, i.e., the airbag, on the Camry. This needs to be serviced by a professional mechanic.
  • 5 Check for an oil light on the dash. The oil light is in the shape of a small oil canister. When this lights up, it indicates low oil pressure. Low oil pressure is caused by a blockage in the system, a weak oil pickup or oil pump, or low oil levels in the engine. Check and see if your Camry is overdue for an oil change. It is recommended that the oil be changed at 5,000 miles or every six months.
  • 6 Check for the low fuel warning. The fuel light on the Camry is on the fuel gauge near the "E" on the gauge face. The low fuel light means that you have to refuel your vehicle.
  • 7 Check for the seat belt warning light. The seat belt warning light is a picture of a figure wearing a seat belt. If your seat belt is unbuckled, then this light will illuminate (along with a warning chime) indicating that you should buckle up.
  • 8 Check for an orange car with lights on (on the dash lights). This warning light indicates that one or both of your brake lights has failed, or the electrical resistance in the bulb filament indicates that it is about to fail and will need service soon.

Have you checked your thermostat. Some cars do not have gauges for all componants of the car located on the dash board. A bad thermostat could drive the oil pressure gauge up, if there is not a coolant level gauge on the dash board.

The oil pump is relatively easy to change with the engine in situ if it is (commonly) at fault,
Get an oil pressure gauge with a pipe and brass fitting ready on, (borrow or buy cheap from boy racer shop), unscrew the sensor (or ask the garage to for a £5) and plug it directly into the sensor hole after you've been for a run.. When warm, mine sits about 40 at motorway speeds, ten at tickover.
