Water on Driver's floor
SOURCE: Water leak from driver side of the motor
Too many items that can leak for me to give an opinion...but, if it's water, not antifreeze it could be condensation from A/C. Coolant is generally green.
How is the cooling system? Is she adding any coolant or is it running low? Last but most obvious, take a careful look and find the source of the leak. If you don't know what it is, you can't fix it!

Well, you are on the right path; the rubber seal around the windshield could indeed be deteriorating...what may be happening is the water is coming through the cowling and pooling up on the seal there...as the water sits, the seal deteriorates and eventually you will see water like you are now.
My recommendation to you is to take your Edge to a shop and ask them to look for a leak at the bottom seal of the windshield.

Are you sure it is water? Is it possible it is coolant? Taste of it and if it tastes sweet it is coolant and you have a leaking heater core. The fix is too replace it. If it is water then you more than likely have a leak at the windshield or the cowl.

It's either the driver's side door seal or the windshield leaking. Best bet is to be inside on a dry day and have someone run a garden hose over that side of the car. That will give you your answer.

Keep looking by covering area at hood etc and running water on the vehicle to locate where it is coming in---Windshield?
This is the best way if you cannot trace the stains from water to source.
