NO accelleration on hills

disconnect your air mass sensor then drive to see if the problem went away. this sensor tells the computer when the air filter is bad. a bad air mass sensor will change the computer setting and make your car loose power.

My chrysler shift down hard some time when

There is a lock up torque converter in the trans. Sometimes they don't want to come out of lock up. It will fell like you were driving a standard shift and forgot to push in the clutch.

Try a good flush on the trans, and put in a bottle of "Lube Guard" This is a brand made for transmissions. They have three kinds, red, black and green, The black one is for Chrysler and foreign.

The lube guard will go to the valves that controll shifting and lock up with out effecting the seals in the trans like other trans additives. Do not try anything that says "seals transmittions".

Take my word on the lube guard. I have been rebuilding transmissions since the 80's and have found Lube Guard took care of many shifting problems.

Hope this helps

1984 chevy silveradero, trqnsmission shifts late

The way you adjust the cable is you push in on the tab push the cable in all the way release tab and then get in the truck and press the gas pedal to the floor..Now it will shift..Your pushing in on the little cone that is right before the cable comes out of it all the way to wards the tab your pushing down and then letting go of the tab then pressing your gas pedal all the way to the floor. Then its adjusted..It should shift now Have a great day

1996 Cadillac Seville started shifting hard all of a sudden

Sounds like an internal problem. To be sure you will have to drop the transmission pan and check the color o fthe fluid. It should be pink. If it is white then you are going to have to get the transmission rebuilt.

1996 Cadillac Seville started shifting hard all of a sudden

The pressure control solenoid needs to be replaced. It"s under the side cover on the transmission on drivers side. Not a simple fix at home. You will also need a side cover gasket. The transmission does not need to be rebuilt.

Car will start but gear shift is locked

follow instructions in manual for SHIFTLOCK RELEASE

Turn off car.
Engage Parking Break
Take ignition key and put into shift lock release slot (near gear shift)
Push down on key and at same time MOVE gear shift to neutral.
Remove key, start car as normal and disengage parking break...

good to go.... mechanic can replace/repair if this is an ongoing issue: $85 I read somewhere...but heard it's not hard to do yourself for $35 someone else wrote.
