The weight the car will tow and the weight it can legally tow are two different things. You need to check on the law where you are. Whatever you tow observing the manufacturer's noseweight limits is important unless the rear suspension is modified.

most tongue weights are maximum 250 kgs (500 lbs )
use load lever bars to easy the tongue weight to that setting
If the weight exceeds the max then you should have load levers attach to add stability to the towed vehicle

Towing can be dangerous, because it changes the handling characteristics of your tow vehicle. Towing 2000lbs is not the only consideration. You must consider tongue weight, brake assistance and set-up. Something simple like a too heavy tongue can have the effect of lifting your front tires off the road --- not a great prospect when your trying to steer and brake. Things like load-levers are important to consider, especially if you are towing at the higher end of your vehicle\'s capacity. Most towers suggest not exceeding 80% of your vehicle technical tow capacity.



Yes, your \'06 Camry is technically set for 2000 lbs. If you do this, I would change your transmission fluid each year, and if possible, add a transmission cooler.

Maybe springs, just make sure that when you put a load in the trailer that you put the weight over the trailer tire's to equal the weight and not put the load on the bumper.

If you look at the tongue of the trailer it will say what size it needs. I would think you will need a 2 5/16" ball but check to make sure by looking at the tongue.

all the vehicles i have ever had there have been about 3 different rated tow bars
