I just purchased this replacement for my grandmother clock and the chimes are not synced with the time. How do I adjust the works to make the chimes strike at the proper minute?

The chimes will sound 6 minutes after they should. Example: the chimes sound at 4:06 instead of 4:00...4:21 instead of 4:15, etc.

The next time it chimes multiple times turn the hour hand clockwise until it is pointing at the number of times it gonged. Next take off the dial nut off (make sure to put it in a plastic bag because they can be hard to replace) and turn the minute hand until it chimes signaling 15 minutes after. Now put the minute hand back on pointing to 3 o'clock and replace your dial nut and you are all set.

My grandmother clock weights are stuck in the very top position. How do I release them?

Ouch, a sticky problem. The cause is generally over winding. But irregardless, the fix can be tedious and just where the jamming has occurred can be in several different places. That includes the retard bar, the musical chime hammers, and the star cam chain mechanism. You can take a look at the following page for some suggestions :https://www.clockworks.com/clock-repair/clock-repair-help-2.html

2003 ford escape chimes when driving

First be sure the turn signal is off, sometimes if you drive for some time with it on it will chime. Does the chime also continue from the time the car starts, even when it's not moving? If so, start the car in park, open a door at a time and press the switch on the door jam, if chime stops, the switch should be adjusted or replaced, if not continue with each door, one at a time being sure all the other doors are closed.

How do I disconnect the chime from automatic door .Had to cut cable as it jammed . Took out fuse but radio and clock now do not work .Can I disconnect wire from chimes .I knoe it comes from speakers .

try this
disconnect battery
undo the fuse box and look at the wires behind that fuse you pulled

check that only radio and clock wiring are fitted there

the chime may its own power source

i could be wrong
i thought chime was separate to sound system speakers
and comes from a small but loud sound device on the instrument panel circuit board ..much like a computer

Even though it doesn't say locked, it probably is. Check your driver's manual to see how to reset it.

94 ford escort "clock spring" adjustment

The Clock Spring is not that difficult. It lifts straight out. The easiest way to adjust the clock spring is to remove it, you can rotate it GENTLY all the way one way and then go the opposite direction COUNTING THE ROTATIONS...

Say it is 4 rotations...

Turn it Back to the Neutral position (2 Turns)

Reinstall

2002 Audi A6 - clock adjustment

Hi,

I have the same car, and also don't have a manual. I found out to set the clock, pull lightly on the dial in front of the display. The display will blink and all you need to do is twist slightly to set time, date, etc. Hope this helps! How do you love it so far??
