Okay in order to do that trans u needed to take ur starter bolts loose to remove the starter and access the convertor bolts. behind the starter is ur crank sensor. chances are u either disconnected the connector or broke the sensor. either way check ur crank sensor behind starter in engine block. good luck

Car stalled and died. Cranks but wont start all of the sudden.

You will need to see if you are getting spark to the spark plug. You can remove plug cable a d insert a screw driver and place metal of screw driver within 1/8 of an inch from metal on engine or car. Have someone try to start the engine while watching the gap for spark. Make sure you have good connection in cable. If no spark, then it may be distributed.

To get a tune up on m 95 cadillac deville what parts do I need.

I would start by getting spark plugs and spark plug wires. And find out (through part store)what the gap is for your plugs. Then i would replace the cap and rotor and check your air filter. If you have over 60,000 miles i would also change the trans.filter and fluid

Spark plugs
Spark plug wires
Distributer cap
Rotor (if applicable)
Air Filter ?

No spark when car is tried to start, not the fuel pump

If there is no spark then it could be you distributor is bad or your spark plug wires are bad

1998 Pontiac transport van wont start:

Well you hit all the major ones, could be crank position sensor, ignition module, a bad coil pack (it should have 3), you need to check that you have spark to each plug while the engine is turning over (!!!be careful as this will hurt if you get shocked!!!), this will rule out coil packs. if you have no spark to any plug your looking at a bad ingnition module (which is what the coil packs bolt to). Hope this gets you on the right track!

Needs tune up what parts do i need

spark plugs, fuel filter pcv valve, spark plug wires higher quality, wd40 to lubricate all movable throttle parts, (cables) etc, on this car rotor or cap usually do not apply. make sure your spark plugs are gapped correctly and be careful not to drop them on the ground or get them dirty from oil debris around spark plug holes when installing new plugs. Your owners manual will give you maintainence information on suggested and required maintainence, if your miles are 40,000 or more since the last tuneup suggest you have the transmission oil and trans filter changed (new trans filter kit and silicone would be needed) Good Luck and I hope this was very helpful to you

My wife and I just bought a 1993 Toyota Camery for our son. the transmission light continues to blink. I changed the tranny fluid, twice because it is dark. When we stop at a light it sometimes jerks. In...

Plugs No. Dark trans fluid means it probably was never changed or not every couple years I used to own a trans shop. Why didn't you check the fluid before you bought it and pass? Trans is pretty well cooked inside by now and it may not be the first time for a 1993 veh. Most trans are lucky they ever get the correct fluid installed and forget changing. Your power steering will be in similar shape and brake fluid. Not trying to be hurtfull. Check all your vehicles and change every fluid. I bet it worked till you put in clean fluid then it started slipping. When it gets almost black your done. Hang in on the other 2 plugs. If you buy enough tools you will get them all. Now you know why we have 30 to 50 thousand dollars in tools.

Truck wont start

Check your crank sensor, it bolts to the block on right rear and goes down into the trans bellhousing . You might have got the wire pinched between the trans and the engine.
