The theft deterrent system on this vehicle is comprised of the vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) system. VTD prevents drive away theft by preventing the vehicle from starting.
SECURITY Indicator The SECURITY indicator on the instrument cluster is controlled by the VTD system. The SECURITY indicator is located inside the instrument cluster. The SECURITY indicator is controlled by the body control module through the class 2 data line. The VTD system contained in the BCM commands the instrument cluster to control the SECURITY indicator only when the ignition switch is ON. The VTD system uses the indicator as a malfunction indicator.
The Passlock?"¢ System is provided in order to prevent vehicle theft if the ignition lock cylinder is forced to rotate or the ignition switch is operated while separated from the ignition lock cylinder case. If starting is attempted without authorization from the Passlock?"¢ System, the powertrain control module (PCM) will disable engine starting. Start disable may be in the form of fuel disable or starter disable, depending on engine application.
Once this happens your stuck taking it to the dealer or doing a system by pass !

There is no reset button.
The problem could be the anti-theft system which would knock out the injectors and spark to the plugs.
If the security light is staying on, the problem could be the chip in the key.

Turns over wont start

You need to figure out what you do not have that an engine needs to run. What is the fuel pressure at the fuel rail? Do you have spark when cranking the engine? Are the fuel injectors operating? Do you have ample compression? When you figure out what you do not have, that will tell you what you need to fix.

Do i have a reset fuel button for my grand am 2003? It was security lock, did everything to changing the relays ect.It will turn over not start, its not getting any fuel. First time ever happening,

No there is not a fuel reset button . Is your SECURITY light lit on the dash ? Anti-theft system disables fuel injection . You changed the relays , what relays ? ,changing relays is not going to do anything if the security light is on ! If your security light is on you need to have the vehicle scanned for codes . Or do a anti-theft bypass , there are videos on you tube showing how to do it . Check out GM pass key bypass videos .

I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am why won't my car start? it just spins but wont crank. I changed the core packs and it's still not cranking

The term " CRANK" is what the Starter is doing to the Engine. I think you mean is 'it Cranks but wont Start'.
Is the engine getting Spark? Is the engine getting fuel? You need to check these two things before randomly swapping out parts.
If it's fuel starvation.. Check the fuel pump relay or possibly a bad Fuel Pump.

1999 Pontiac Grand Am wont start. Fuel pump gets power for a second and then no power. What shuts off the power to the fuel pump?

you have to know that the fuel pump is power by the fuel pump relay
first when key on pcm prime a ground to the fuel pump relay and then the pcm need to know if engine is turning to stay on . make your test at the relay.

2003 grand am wont start

Check obvious problems first. Do you have any indicator dash lights on when trying to crank the engine? A security light means your Passlock system is malfunctioning. If you can turn the engine, then the battery is most likely ok but you can disconnect it for about 5 minutes then reconnect it which will reset the computer. I had an issue with a 99 grand am dieing after starting. Pushing the key in kept it running. Turns out my ignition switch in the dash went bad. There are three coil packs in the v-6 and two in the 4 cylinder. A loose wire would more likely be the cause. Check the fuses under the hood in the convenience center. A bad computer, module near the coil packs, or a bad hall effect cam sensor could cause the fuel injectors to not fire and cut off the fuel supply. Check the fuel pump to see if its working by turning the key to on but not cranking it. If you hear a 2 second sound of the pump then a click then the fuel pump is most likely working.

Car cranks fine, was running great, cold morning wont start, sprayed start fluid motor runs until either gone. fuel filter?

this could be a few things fuel pump getting weak or your alarm could of activated itself and it disables the fuel to the engine, I would try reseting the built in alarm system. first put the key in the ignition and turn on till all the lights come on and let it sit 10 minutes with the key on, then after the 10 minutes is over turn the key to the off position and wait 3 seconds and then try to start. if it starts which is possible because grand ams and olds aleros are bad for the security system locking up by them self. Hope this helps.

Car cranks but wont start

replace your injectors. your vehicle is getting the fuel to start from the starter fluid. however the injectors arent giving it the gas that it needs to stay cranked

Grand Am won't start.

check for spark while cranking
there is a fuel test port under a black cap on the fuel rail press the valve in and see if there is fuel that shoots out. but crank the car a few times first and build fuel pressure. if not the fuel pump is the cause of everything. change the fuel fitler too. clogged fuel filters lead to damaged fuel pumps

Have a 97 grand am that cranks but wont start. changed the ignition switch. injectors are working and has spark to plugs. need help this is my only car

Do you hear the fuel pump make a whirrring sound when you turn the key to the on position ? You should be able to hear it. If not , the fuel **** is not working. Check the shutoff valve and see if the reset button is up. If it is up, press it down and try to hear the pump again when you turn the key to "on\'. If the shutoff is OK, but you don\'t hear the fuel pump. Replace the fuel pump.
