SOURCE: no sound for door chimes or radio

It's a connection from the radio to a wire harness under the rug passenger side rear. Orange wire goes to two Orange wires. Take out corroded part and reseal wires in electric tape. That's it!

2002 silverado door chime fuse where is it

I believe the chime may be tied into the radio, since the chime is heard through the drivers door speaker. Did you replace the factory radio? That may have caused it. Or if the factory radio isn't working it could be that.

It seems to me you should check your fuses, they burn all the time. There inside your car most of the times under or near the steering wheel somewhere in that erea

Even though it doesn't say locked, it probably is. Check your driver's manual to see how to reset it.

Where is the door chime located?

Some are on a button or lever in the door jamb and ford likes to attach them to the door latck in the door. A good blast of penetrating oil into the latch in the door will loosen it up.

2007 Saturn Aura XE, the audible alarms can hardly be heard

Good news - they're adjustable. The radio is used to adjust the vehicle's chime level. To change the volume level of the chime, press and hold push-button 6 with the ignition on and the radio power off. The volume level will change from the normal level to loud, and LOUD will appear on the radio display. To change back to the default or normal setting, press and hold push-button 6 again. The volume level will change from the loud level to normal, and NORMAL will appear on the radio display.

Note: Each time the chime volume is changed, three chimes will sound to indicate the new volume selected.

2007 HHR Radio and chimes not working

Check the radio fuse. As unusual as it seems, GM has started having the radio (even though not turned on) generate the chimes and turn signal sounds. If the radio fails, all the chimes fail too.

This applies to other vehicles besides the HHR. My 2003 Silverado had the door chimes fade down so I could barely hear them. The fix was to replace the radio (under warranty, fortunately...).
