SOURCE: my back doors wont close all the the latch is in

TAKE A SCREWDRIVER OR SOMETHING TO PUT IN THE GAP IN THE LATCH WHERE THE STIKER IN THE DOOR JAM IS WHEN IT IS CLOSED NORMALLY,& WHILE YOU HAVE THE SCREWDRIVER OR SOMETHING SIMILAR IN THE LATCH,PULL TOWARDS THE CAR WHILE YOU PULL THE HANDLE LIKE TO OPEN THE DOOR AS IF IT WAS CLOSED NORMAL,& IT SHOULD OPEN THE LATCH.

Ford edge 2013 door ajar sensor

I located the switch and cleaned up underneath it as well as a shot of WD40. 1st open the door. 2nd manually close the latch with a screw driver. Look for the white tab in the top of the latch. You can only see it when the door is open and the latch is closed. To test, start the vehicle and if the switch is not working correctly the door ajar will go on. Use a small screw driver and push the white tab up and let it fall back down. It should move very easily and doesn't need to go up much. The tab is the bottom of the switch. I used a tooth pick to get up under the switch and clean anything that was possibly stopping the switch from coming down all the way. Once I clean it I used the WD40 with a nozzle to lubricate it blow any remaining junk out from under the latch. This seems to have corrected the problem.

My honda odyssey 2002 hood latch stuck it opened the hood and now not closing even droping the hood from difference hight and even pressing it ???

SOUND LIKE YOUR HOOD LATCH IS STUCK IN THE RELEASE POSITION. YOU CAN DO TWO THINGS. REPLACE YOUR HOOD LATCH OR PUSH THE LATCH BACK INTO POSITION MANUALLY EVERYTIME YOU OPEN YOUR HOOD. IT'S EASY. FIRST CHECK YOUR HOOD RELEASE LEVER (DRIVER SIDE KICK PANEL)AND MAKE SURE IT'S MOVING FREELY. IF LEVER IS OK,GO TO YOUR HOOD LATCH. LOOK TO THE RIGHT OF THE LATCH (LOOK DOWN FROM THE TOP VIEW)AND YOU'LL SEE A SMALL METAL BAR WITH A SPRING PULLING DOWN ON IT(MIGHT NEED FLASH LIGHT TO SEE BAR AND SPRING). TAKE A FLATHEAD SCREWDRIVER AND PUSH DOWN ON THE METAL BAR WHERE SPRING CONNECT. THE BAR SURE MOVE ABOUT 1/4 INCH DOWN. CLOSE YOU HOOD AND YOU'RE DONE. YOU JUST HAVE TO PUSH THE BAR DOWN EVERYTIME YOU OPEN IT.

My trunk will not close

There is a possibility that the remote latch cable is stuck (lubrication is gone) . With a screwdriver, NOT the fingers, try to return manually the latch, to its open position (instead of the pull open position). If you push it too far, it will go into locked position, and when you pull down the trunk lid, it wont reach its normal closed position. In that case, pull the latch back open, with the remote lever. Should you manage to close the trunk properly, spray some WD40 or some lubricant on the latch assembly.

I can't get my convertible top to go up or down, it is stuck half way. Is there a manual release for it?

The convertible top motor and release lever are in the luggage compartment.
From the Bentley manual, the following general procedure is suggested in order to close the top in an emergency situation.
Main motor. To release the top linkage from the motor, lift the left corner of the rear seat to access emergency release handle.
It is then possible to push the top manually to a near closed position. In case of the semi-automatic top, simply attach and lock the front latches.
Front latches. Once the fully automatic convertible top has been released from the motor and manually pushed to near-closure, emergency latching of the top is possible by using the S-shaped hex key provided in the emergency tool kit(attached to the trunk lid underside).
First, remove the the plastic cover over the latch motor in the front bow of the convertible top.
Next, use the hex key from the tool box to crank the front latches shut.

Lowering convertible top

There should be latches you have to pull first to unlock the top from the windshield. Pull down the sun visors, the handles should be under them. Then push the power top switch.
