If the sunroof won't close because of a mechanical problem with the rails or cables you have a complex and quite expensive problem to deal with.
I suggest you first check there are no foreign bodies jamming the works such as pebbles, pine cones, conkers and suchlike.

If there is no clicking or sounds of effort from the electric motor try checking the fuse(s).

If the thing remains electrically dead it should be possible to close it manually. Sunroof motors are generally fairly easy to locate and expose and they are easily removed from the gearbox. Once the motor has been removed a suitable driver can be inserted into the gearbox and the mechanism turned by hand to close the sunroof.

The instructions for doing this are often contained in the vehicle owner's handbook and sometimes an emergency sunroof cranking handle is provided in the toolkit.

Electric sunroof stuck open can it be closed manually

THE ELECTRIC DRIVE SYSTEM FOR POWER SUNROOF IS NOT ADJUSTABLE.DONT REMOVE THE SUNROOF MOTOR UNLESS THE SUNROOF IS COMPLETELY CLOSED.OTHERWISE A NEW MOTOR WILL HAVE TO BE INSTALLED AND TIMED WITH A TOOL THAT COMES WITH THE NEW MOTOR.THE GLASS PANEL CAN BE ADJUSTED.OPEN THE INTERIOR SUNSHADE ALL THE WAY BACK AND OPERATE THE SUNROOF UNTIL FULLY CLOSED.THERE ARE THREE GLASS MOUNTING SCREWS ON EACH SIDE OF THE SUNROOF OPENING.INSIDE THE VECHICLE LOOSEN THE SCREWS SET THE FRONT EDGE OF THE GLASS TO BE JUST 1MM BELOW THE SURFACE OF THE ROOF.ADJUST THE GLASS AT THE REAR EDGE TO BE JUST ABOVE 1MM THE ROOF AT THE REAR TIGHTEN THE SCREWS.
