Having the fuel pump just replaced that morning doesn't mean that isn't the problem. Check it! The fuel pump relay is a good place to start though. The relay, and a few others, are in a box under the hood. Can't remember exactly where, but shouldn't be hard to locate. Try one of the other identical relays in the box (swap them) and see what you can find out.You need to answer a couple of questions. Is the fuel pump getting power/activating/working? Is the fuel pump getting fuel? The answers and the specifics around the answers lead to some other troubleshooting to try.

Sounds good ninemil, I would also check for any bent or disconnected fuel lines that would restrict the fuel flow as well. I do not know if this has a fuel pump assembly but you should be able to hear it actuate on when the key is in the "on" position. How did it act before you shut it off? Was it harder to start? Make sure you buy a high quality pump (Carter) many of those cheaper brands will fail trust me.

You have a bad "clockspring" inside the steering wheel. A bit complex to write it all out and if I forget anything the bag could deploy in your face while changing it out. You can find detailed instructions for that job in both chilton or haynes manuals.

How do I fix the horn on 2006 Impala

System Description
The horn PCB relay is non replaceable ,soldered to the underhood fuse / relay box. . You would have to take the box a part to get at it . Is the air bag light lit on the instrument cluster ? Could have an open wire in the Clock spring , do you know what a clock spring is ? It is inside the upper part of the steering column , It allows the steering wheel to be turned full right to full left keeping the horn an all the buttons an air bag connected electrically. When the horn button is pressed, ground is applied through the horn switch contacts and the horn relay control circuit to the coil side of the relay. The horn relay coil is then energized, causing the relay switch contacts to close applying voltage through the horn control circuit to the horns. For theft deterrent functions, the body control module (BCM) also controls the horn relay by applying ground to the relay control circuit to the relay.
Circuit/System Testing
With a test lamp connected to ground, probe each of the test points on the HORN fuse while activating the horns. The test lamp should illuminate at one or both of the fuse test points.
?‡'
If the test lamp does not illuminate at either test point, refer to the Horn Switch Test.

?‡'
If the test lamp illuminates, refer to the Horn Test.

Ignition OFF, disconnect the inline harness connector C275. Ignition ON, test for B+ between the horn relay control circuit terminal B and ground.
?‡'
If less than B+, test the control circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the underhood fuse block.

Momentarily connect a 3-A fused jumper wire between the control circuit terminal B and ground. The horns should work.
?‡'
If the horns do not work, replace the underhood fuse block.

If all circuits test normal, test or replace the horn switch

The PCB relay horn system consists of the following components:
?€¢
Horn switch

?€¢
Horn PCB relay

?€¢
Horn assembly

?€¢
Body control module (BCM)

?€¢

Horn does not work. Have replaced horn relay & fuse and it still isn't working. Please advise

Check to make sure that horn is connected at the steering wheel.
Remove the portion of the wheel that you push to activate the horn
and reconnect the wire. If that doesn't work check connections at
the horn(s).

My horn doesn't work on my 1999 Lincoln Navigator, any suggestions?

There are also relays for the horn. First check would be the connections at the horn then the fuse. If the fuse isn't blown, it's possible that the relay has gone on it. Another item to check would be the wires leading up to the horn it's self. If any of them are frayed and touching bare metal, causing a short circuit, the horn wouldn't work then.

My 1995 toyota camry horn works sometimes

Most horn sytems on vehicles have power to the horn, and the horn
button simply completes the circuit to earth.
Check to make sure the earth lead bolted to the front panel is clean and tight, check also that there isn't a horn relay under the fuse box cover, it may be faulty.
You will need to make sure that at least one of the wires to the horn has 12 volts going to it, if not, the fuse may have blown.
Hope this helps.

Have a short in the Horn/dome light fuse on a 1990 chevy suburban, keeps blowing fuse even when truck isn't on. using a 20 amp fuse and with truck completely off as soon as the fuse is put in it blows...

You will have to trace the wiring. There is a short somewhere before it reaches the actual horn or light. Horns pull an extreme amount of amperage. The relay may be stuck or the wiring to the switch may be bad. My bet would be a shorted switch or relay.

Start by having someone press the horn while you feel the relay with your finger. If the relay clicks when the horn is pressed then the switch is working properly and your problem is between the relay and horn assembly.

Horn not working on 1999 z28 camaro / what could

Well, it could be a fuse. Check the associated fuse, if it is ok then proceed to checking for power at the horn (it should have 12v). If the horn has power then replace the horn. If it does not then seek proffesional certified help due to the fact that the problem is going to be in the steering column or horn pad, and that will require dealing with the airbag system (which is NOT recommended) unless qualified.
