Truck start but nothing else work inside

The truck starts but the alarm is blinking and nothing comes on in the car and the windows will not let down.

  • Anonymous Oct 15, 2015

This is hard to explain, I can drive the truck. However no dash board lights at all it does not even display the temp or fuel level. I reset the alarm three times by disconnecting the batter ground cable. However, I hear a knocking sound from the boot of the truck in the passenger rear and still no power to the dashboard or radio. However, the time for the radio does display when I turn on the headlights.

What do you mean nothing else works ? interior lights , radio instrument cluster lights etc. The alarm light flashes while truck is running ? Let's be a little bit more specific if you can !

The accessory delay relay supplies power (B+) to the driver master window switch . This relay is located in the central junction box ,under dash panel right side . An this powers the windows , the instrument cluster energizes the relay .
Interior Illumination is controlled by same relay .

Testimonial: "Sorry, I am able to start the truck it runs and drive. However, the radio is not on, the windows does not power down, the truck seems to be like it is not started, but the engine is running. And the alarm light on the dash by the window is blinking red every few seconds."

The red light blinking every few seconds is normal , it's when it comes on steady or flashes really fast you'll have problems . The relay I mentioned is more then likely your only problem.

The truck wont start and when i open the door the alarm light is blinking and check engine light is on and comes on and off every 7 to ten seconds

You have to turn the alarm system off. It is keeping the car from being started. I hope you know how because I sure don't. These alarm systems cause more problems for owners than for thieves.

Alarm removed, purple wire coming from coil to inside of truck. Where does it go?

If what you mean is that the alarm was removed now you have an extra wire, then you have nothing to fear. The cable goes to the alarm, if the alarm had remote start. Is to let know the alarm that the car is on, so it won't continue to crank the starter. If you have no problems with the Yukon you can eliminate the wire.

Car alarm stopped working.. Car wont start

the jetta has a faulty alarm system from the factory i have been working on one in my shop. the alarm moddule is inside the dash behind the light switch and has a 10 pin connector and a 6 pin connector. this can be bypassed if you disconnect both connectors and jump the two large wire on the 6 pin connectors, these wires operate your starter. the car will start and run but your alarm will no longer be active. the door locks and everthing else will still work. the only issue i am having is the factory radio isn't working because it is controlled by the alarm. but worse case scenario i can use an aftermarket radio if need be.

Possible "stealth" lock down of truck

the truck will not start because the alarm is engaged. that is a saftey masure for new cars and trucks so that way someone who is stealing it can not get far. if part of the alarm was dismantled (disconnected) than it will not allow you to start the truck you will either have to completly disconnect the entire alarm system or take it in and have it hooked back up and reset so the truck will start
