Why would your vehicle make a loud humming sound while driving between 61 to 79 mph

Both my cv axle was replace the there was that problem ,how?

Check your wheel bearings, also since cv s were just replaced make sure the outer nuts are torqued properly, they preload the bearings so torque is important

Sounds like a CV axle. Generally it is a clicking more than a growling sound. Listening to it while up on jack stands will be mor useful than I in this case

I'm thinking you have a cv (constant velocity) joint problem.. If so, you'll most likely need to take it to a shop. The cv joints are the joints in the drive axles coming out the side of your trans-axle and going to the front wheel. They are most likely enclosed with rubber boots. These often need changed or serviced on high-mileage vehicles.

cv axles going bad?wheel bearing? but you said clicking so i would say cv axles, if its manual check trans fluid, humming can also be the alternator increasing sound with speed overinflated tires etc be a little more descriptive click click? tock tock? clack clack?left side? right side? only when turning? is the licking and the hummming together or seperate

2004 pontiac grand prix gt. humming noise while driving. Louder at 25 mph or higher. Changed front passenger side hub bearings due to when turning slightly left humming quiets. I stol have humming....

I change both wheel hub bearings when one goes

Doesn't matter what stabilizer does--- the bushings need
to be done-- so you say

Maybe you replaced the wrong drive axle

Put the front tires on the back to see what happens

Have a plymouth breeze, every time I turn left it was making a loud clicking noise, now it sounds like a really bad loud scrubbing noise when I turned and drive starting last night. So it I cant drive it....

Probably a bad CV joint on one of your drive axles to the front wheels. You have two drive axles coming out of the transaxle, one to each front wheel, and both have an inner CV joint where they enter the transaxle, and an outer CV joint where the axles fit into the wheel hub. (A CV joint is really like the old U-joints, serving the same purpose.) A clicking noise on turning is usually a badly worn outer CV joint. The cheapest fix is to buy a remanufactured half-shaft for your car. That is the axle shaft with both CV joints at each end inspected and reconditioned with new grease and CV boots installed. You need to know which side is bad before buying. The half-shaft is sold ready to install. Someone with good mechanical skills will need to remove the old one and replace it with the new reconditioned axle shaft, or half shaft as they are also called. The last time I bought one (about two years ago) the cost was reasonable- about $65.00. That is less than the cost of one new CV joint.

I hear a loud metal on metal noise when i drive over 15 mph from my front tire and sometimes feel vibration under drivers left foot

That sounds like your brake caliper has engaged on the front drivers side and not releasing which has eaten up your brake pads. Suggest you pull the hub and brake pad out and check whether the piston is retracking as it should.
