Power comes from the ignition relay via the key switch.
The relay also powers several other circuits. The key switch activates the relay so that those circuits are not powered directly from the key switch.

SOURCE: blower motor doesn't work and has no power to it

Check the blower multispeed control resistor pack is not faulty.
The resistor pack is usually located in the air ducting, in the blower fan airflow.
Basically, +12v power is supplied (via fuse) to the fan speed control switch, which then passes via the selected speed control resistor, to the fan motor. Often a interface relay is used to switch the blower motor high current.

Did you find out a solution to your problem? I have a 1996 trooper that is showing most of the same symptoms that you have. I'm curious as to your fix. Was it simply a bad ground?

I have a 2006 BMW 650i and my fan has not been comming on Can somebody help me with the exact location of the fan relays???

If your talking about the heater fan, there is a resistor by the blower motor. I don't know for sure about your car, but most are under the passenger side dash. Remove the kick panel and you'll see the blower motor. The resistor is right by it. Before I remove it. I pull the blower plug and put power and ground to the blower , Just to make it isn't the problem. 95% of the time it is the resistor.

Air and heat blower will not come on. 1998 sonoma 2.2l

start by checking fuse. if fuse is good, aquire a test light, check the test light on the battery to make sure the test light works. Power to ground = light. access blower motor under pass-side dash panel.(probablly have to remove underdash cover, secured with pop-in style fasteners.) locate blower motor. 2 wires w/connector Purple-power, black-ground. check for power at purple w/test light on known good ground, with ign on, and blower switch on high. if it has power, hook clip of test light to a power source, ( + on battery w a jumper wire) and probe black wire, with test light. if no light, jumper that wire to a good ground. if it lights, you have a bad b-motor. if no light on power side of blower motor, and fuse is good, check power to swith. blower circuit may have 2 fuses. 1 for high and a 2nd for the lower speeds. if switch has power to it, and power is transfered to another wire when switched, suspect the blower motor resistor. 1999 Park avenue what can make blower stop working?

No it is likely the blower motor is defective, you can test it by removing the connector and then the blower motor and testing it by applying power to the motors connector pins.

Blower motor for air conditioner stop working but when attached to separate power source blower motor works fine, also no fuses are blown.

Most likely either the controls are bad or the blower motor resistor. To check you can see if the controls are getting power and if they are sending power to the blower motor. This will tell you if the controls are bad or not.

check the 50 amp fuse in teh engine compartment fuse/realy box. Also check the blower motor relay that the fuse protects.
Alos, check fuse 9, 15 amp in fuse panel in truck.

Test by applying 12 volts to teh orange/red wire at teh blower motor connector. Use a 10 or 12 gauge wire with a 25 or 30 amp fuse in line.

1996 ford contour heater blower motor doesn't work. only worked on high before

First, check the blower motor fuse. If it is ok, disconnect the electrical lead from the blower motor, and apply direct power and ground to the motor electric terminals. If the blower motor fails to operate, it is defective. If the blower motor now operates with direct power, but doesn't when reconnected to the car's electrical system, there is likely a problem with the switch, the blower motor resistor, or a bad connection in the wiring. Hope this helps.

Why does my blower motor for my 97 silverado does not work?

Check for a blown fuse,
Check for faulty blower motor speed control resistor pack - (usually located in the air flow in the blower ducting),
Check the blower motor is ok; ensure it runs if power directly applied to it.
Check blower motor fan control switch is ok.
