SOURCE: loud noise when turning wheel

That red fluid is power steering fluid. You may not have lost enough yet to register but you will. You need to determine whether it's leaking from a cracked hose (which I've seen on Toyota products), or from the steering rack itself, and from there the course of repair can be determined.

SOURCE: check engine light need help

Hi kelly4578, Your Air/Fuel Ratio sensor is failing. It is also called the Bank One sensor. The sensor itself is about $200 from a parts distributor and somewhat more than that at a Lexus parts department. Labor to remove the old sensor and replace it with the new one will also run you several hundred dollars.

If you're mechanically inclined, you can tackle this repair yourself. But you must first determine the exact location of the failed sensor. And be careful not to strip the threads in the manifold when you remove the old sensor.

Let me know if this helps and please rate this solution. lone99star

SOURCE: hesistaton at idle speed. how many ignition coils are used in a 98 lexus es300?

I looked it up on AutoZone.com and it looks like there is only one coil.  You can verify that by giving them a call.  However, to me it sounds like you might be having a problem with your idle air control valve.  Since you are only having problems when the vehicle is at idle I would take a look at your IAC.  It is located on the throttle body and is usually held on by two screws.  When the IAC starts to go bad you will have problems with the vehicle when idling.  Let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks for rating my response and for using FixYa!

Failed Ignition Coils

Resulting cylinder misfires over time
have ruined the exhaust converters (PO420 Bank #1)

PO442-small leak in Evap System

It's all on the internet ,if you Google your codes
& study OBD2 Systems

Type: OBD PO 442

On a 2005 vehicle-- All-- the ignition coils will be bad after
7 or 8 years

At 100,000 miles the front Oxygen Sensors need to be replaced

P0351 code

Codes for ignition coils are not always accurate

You can get many codes for many cylinders & have one or more
bad coils

I would do a cylinder leak down test, to eliminate a mechanical
valve sealing issue

Then if all valves seal-- smoke the intake for vacuum leaks

PO301,PO351 or Coil A -- are all the same-- cylinder #1

I have a 03 ford explorer codes p0307 p0316 what could cause that injects good

You have to use Google to find your codes
& study OBD2 Systems
Forget the PO316
The PO 301 thru PO 308 are engine cylinder misfires
On a 2003 --11 year old ford veh you replace ALL
8 COP Ignition Coils
They only last about 6 to 7 years
Some will set a PO300 code
Some with set lots of codes even with just one bad coil
Some coils are so bad they will shut the engine off anytime
& any where under any conditions or temp
There are alos 3 or more ways to diagnose the coils
With no experience & over 7 years on them, buy all 8 coils
from Rock Auto & replace
Also the front Oxygen Sensors get replaced at 100,000
The last number as in your 307 is cylinder #7
Some fords you have
A,B,C,D,E, etc
1,2,3,4,5 etc
PO 301,302,303,304 etc
All 3 examples are the same thing or cylinders

My 2005 Mazda MPV is skipping. It has been tested and found that cylinder 3 is causing the problem. Can cylinder 3 be changed with out changing the others?

If you have individual ignition coils (COP Ignition)
you can change any coil that you want & you don't
need a repair shop

Buy them from Rock Auto.Com
cheaper than auto parts store & you
get to choose your brand & price

If the PO300 codes are wrong just put back the
#3 coil & walk the new one until you find the bad one

Codes don't tell you what is wrong
That said PO 300 cylinder codes are
okey sometimes,other times you need
professional software to look at cylinder
misfire counts & then sometimes just walk
the new one.

The car has to be driven for a coil to break down
It has to get hot & go 29 miles if bad & sometimes
only act up once every 2 weeks with no rhime or reason

2000 ford excursion misfire on 2 cylinders #2 & #7

Swapping coils is a waste of time-- as cop ford coils
act up when they feel like it & they do so often, about
one to the entire 8 every year.

I have never heard of moving a spark plug

All those ford trucks are terrible, just to get up in there,
how could you put yourself thru that

Not the coils, your very wrong there

If you have no professional scan tool to use in
Mode #06 --- you buy at least 4 coils from Rock Auto.Com

You start with any cyl you have a code for,if it doesn't
resolve the issue you replace the old coil and walk the
new one to the other codes PO 301 thru PO308

You may have several bad ones

One really bad one will set all sorts of codes
from PO 300,PO 301 thru PO 308, fuel tank sensor
& many others, very strange systems on ford products

I have seen on my Lincoln LS when scan tool software
didn't help & wasn't about to drive around with a scope
on a coil & the wires under the hood blowing around

You have to drive a ford cop ignition at least 20 miles
& they have to get hot.

I have driven for 2 weeks & gone out of state before
they failed

I take 2 coils & my notebook with software, if I go more than
100 miles,I have a travel kit--- that coil issue is so bad

HAVE 1998 Dodge Dakota that is stalling (intermittently. Checked the codes and im getting the following: 351- Ignition coil A Pri/Sec circuit 420- Catalyst system efficiency below threashold...

sounds like this engine light has been on for a while and codes are piling up, lets start with the po351, note all codes should have a po or a p or b in front of #s.anyway lets go, first is po351 which means you have a bad # 1 ignition coil, replace the coil and check the connection and this will solve that code. next is po420 cat eff below threshold, this means the converter is not working good anymore, but bad oyxgen sensors will cause this code if they are bad and not reading exhaust correctly, you will need to have the o2 sensors tested and also make sure converter is not rattling loose inside shell if it is then cat is bad not o2 sensors, and last code is po545 is ac clutch relay circuit this may be due to a bad ac compressor clutch a blown fuse or bad relay. hope this info is helpful.

Code 352 means ignition coil 2 and 356 means ignition coil 6 not plugs. Code 420 means catalyst system below threshold most likely caused by the coil problem. Code 455 means exhaust leak.
