I have a 97 intrepid and it is making a clicking sound and the car vibrates when its in drive but siting still at a light and it also vibrates when i step on the gas could it be a misfire in 1 of the cylinders

I would check your fuse board for a loose fuse or wire to it from the battery as sometimes vibration loosens terminals eric

By what you are explaining sounds like the "Lifters" have worn out, try putting a quart of "Lucas Oil" in it,is about $10-$12 at your local auto parts store, it will help reduce the noise considerably. Good Luck.

The first thing I would do is actually have tire spin balance checked. If that checks good, then it is possibly a hub bearing.

check your brake pads,when they wear down they will make a noise to get your attention to have your brake pads looked.

Sounds like a starter problem.If a 'click' sound is heard when it won't turn over,it is probably the starter.

well the altenator could have went bad and caused the car to turn off. sometimes a jump just wont work. and as far as the lights and things working the battery will have enough power to work the small electrics but not to start the car. have your altenator checked as well as your battery

I just fixed that vibration problem on my 97 intrepid.I replaced the cv axel which was only 54.00 bucks brand new.No more vibration when excelerating

bearings make growling noises and axles cv joints make a flutter vibration when accelerating or decelerating

Sound like a burnt contact in the turn signal switch.
