Using the Driver Information Center (DIC)
Important: After resetting, the tire pressure monitoring (TPM) system requires up to 8 km/h (5 miles) of flat, smooth road straight line driving in each of the 4 speed ranges to complete the calibration process. For further information, refer to Tire Pressure Monitor Description and Operation . If the TPM system does not reset, refer to Driver Information Center (DIC) Switch Inoperative .

  1. Set all tire pressures to the recommended kPa/psi. Refer to Vehicle Certification, Tire Placard, Anti-Theft, and Service Parts ID Label .
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Press the vehicle information button until TIRE INFLATION MONITOR SYSTEM PRESS (down/left arrow) SWITCH TO RESET is displayed.
  4. If the system is being reset due to a low tire pressure condition, press and hold the down/left arrow button until TIRE INFLATION MONITOR SYSTEM HAS BEEN RESET is displayed. If the system is being reset due to a tire rotation, press and hold the down/left arrow button for 5 seconds.
  5. Release the down/left arrow button and TIRE PRESSURE NORMAL is displayed.

Tire preasure system reset on a 2011 chevy truck

If using the driver information center/dic, press and release info button until tire learn message is indicated.Depress and hold set/reset button until two horn chirps are sounded indicating learn mode has been activated, front left turn signal will be illuminated. Starting at the left front tire, increase/decrease the air pressure for 8 to 10 seconds and wait for the horn chirp. It may take 30 seconds for the horn to chirp. When horn chirp has sounded the sensor information is learned, then the turn signal for next location will be illuminated and so on. When all sensors have learned the horn will double chirp. Turn key to off position to exit learn mode. Adjust all tire pressures to recommended pressures. System will complete calibration process as vehicle is driven.
Knowing the model would help, the info above covers several chevy models, but, not all.

The words tire reset keep on popping up on my dashboard. What does that mean, and how do I get rid of it? 2004 Ford Freestar.

With and without "Mesage Center" respectively (pretty sure)

With the engine on...

Push "Setup" button, until your driver display says something like "Press Reset for system check".

Then push Reset. The system check will start, rotating through a series of checks.

About the fifth or sixth check will be the tire pressure. The system will sound the tone (same one that starts w/the light) and It'll say something like "Check Tires Pressure" on that moment press and hold for 3 or 4 seconds Reset. When you release the Reset button It'll show "Hold Reset if tires are OK". While that's up, hold the Reset button. After 3 or 4 seconds, the tire warning light will blink 2 or 3 times and then will stop .You need to be ready for it, because you don't get very long to release.

How to reset the low tire pressure warning if the vehicle does not have the "Message Center"

Turn the ignition to the ON position,
depress and Trip/odometer button (located in the instrument cluster) until "TIRE RESET" or "CHECK TIRE AND RESET" is displayed in the odometer display window.
Once "TIRE RESET" or "CHECK TIRE AND RESET" is displayed, press and hold the button for three seconds.
The low tire warning indicator light will flash three times as the low tire warning system begins to initialize.

This information is in the Owners Manual

Hope it helps

How to clear the "Check Tires" message from the info panel on the dashboard. I already adjusted the tire pressure in all tires using a digital gauge.

Press the message center SETUP button until the message center displays "Rest for System check". The message center will display "Hold reset to relearn". Hold the reset button. It will cycle through all of its indicators and when it gets to the tire indicator test it will ask you if you want to reset the indicator. Hold the reset button to reset the indicator.

It will not go off until it has been reset.

Lexus ls430 2004 tire pressure indicator

Make sure you check the spare tire too; had this problem on another model and the dealer said it was the spare which is also monitored.  Good news in case you need it one day.

Switch off tire pressure warning light

From the manual: First find the reset button, located below the handbrake (emergency brake) lever. The button has an "exclamation mark in a tyre" symbol.

Make sure the pressures in all tyres are what you want them to be. 35psi all 'round is good for sporty driving.

Engine off. Turn ignition to the second position (ON) but don't start the engine.

Keep the re-set button pressed until the flat tyre indicator light on the dashboard COMES ON for several seconds.

Start the engine, and drive the car normally for several minutes. This will re-set the indicator to whatever pressures you have in the tyres. Hope this helps!!
