SOURCE: security system shut car down
man these buick dealerships are making a killing nowadays, the keys have a chip in them that helps a sensor in the steering column recognize that those are the right keys for that car, it's an anti-theft device that sometimes backfires, usaully the culprit is a damage chip in the key, because keys get thrown around and mashed up with other keys in peoples pockets, the key it self is not cheap but it is cheaper than replacing steering column. Get a new key and see if that helps, they should have provided you with a new key if they replaced the steering column and the sensor inside of it. I think dealerships aren't making enough money selling cars in this economy and are making frivolous repairs that don't help fix problems and charge a lot of money in the process

SOURCE: car starts and diesimmediately
need more info. but did you check fuel pressure? key on engine off. to you hear the pump, it will come on for about 3 secounds then stop, thats normal. If you hold the pedal down very slight to open trottle will it stay runing? if so min. idle is off, may need to clean trottle bore. cHECK THIS EASY STUFF FIRST. DONT ALWAYS TRY TO FIND THE PROBLEM IN ONE SHOT. ITS BEST TO FIND OUT WHATS NOT WRONG THIS WAY YOU DONT HAVE 10 DIFFERANT PEOPLE TELLING YOU TO TROW PARTS AT IT. remember, your freind may have had a problem like your with his car but dont bet its always the same thing wrong with yours. i worked foe saturn 1992 2006
