All LEDs out at once on ComforTemp HVAC unit.

Checked all fuses visually and all seemed OK. Is there a specific fuse(s) I should check more thoroughly? HVAC and controls work fine, just no backlight.

check the ground on the passenger side of the rear window under the trim panel. That is what was wrong with mine.

SOURCE: Air conditioner/heater blower fan on 1997 Buick

it will be hard to diagnose with out having my hands on it but try this.

this vehicle is known for blower motor resistor failure.

under the dash on the passenger side next to the blower motor there is a resistor attatched to the blower motor case it will have a single plug with 5 or 6 wires in it, they are normally within a couple of inches of the blower motor, remove this resistor and look at closely for any signs of burning this is a common problem, you can buy one at any parts house, do not operate the motor with the resistor removed from its mounting hole or you will damage it.

if the resistor looks good than purchase you a test light and drop me a line and i will explain how to test the entire system its not hard to do.

2008 F250 manual climate control head issue

manual hvac fuses-undefined-undefined-0.jpg These fuses are for manual hvac. Not only check the fuses, use a test light and check voltage at fuses. One fuse is hot all the time, the other two go hot with key on. Also, check ground at hvac unit, black wire, not shown in picture. good luck.

Heat and ac controls quit working. Changed the control unit and still nothing. Checked fuses and all good.

If your saying the blower motor doesn't work, turn on the hvac and check voltage and ground at the blower motor connector. Go from there.
Can you check for applicable hvac trouble codes? Some of the national brand auto stores will check codes for free, if there are any.
At the applicable fuses, you need to check fuse circuit for voltage. Even if fuse is good, if no voltage on the fuse circuit, the circuit is still dead. Use a testlight to check voltage.

I own a 2001 dodge dakota 4x4, my brake lights wont work, I have park lights, turn signals, back up lights, even 4 way flashers, I replaced the brake unit on the brake pedal, and checked all fuses, they...

Hi,

When you say you checked the fuse, was this just a visual check....or did you try replacing the fuse the a new one? Sometimes a visual check doesn't show minute breaks in the fuse wire, which gives a false appearance that the fuse is fine.

When the fuse is ok, this problem normally relates to the brake switch (mounted to the brake pedal). When this switch is replaced, you should always use a multimeter and check the switch is operating correctly when touching the brake pedal.

If the switch is ok, then suspect a faulty relay (if applicable to the Dakota).
