SOURCE: no low or high beams

Check the light control unit (looks like a relay) in the main underhood fuse box. The solder joints may be cracked and can be resoldered. This tutorial explains the procedure for a new gen 900 (very similar to yours).

There are fuses and relays under the hood also. Check to make sure. I have heard of the switch in the lever going bad. Hope this is not it, but since the flashers are also not working. Check www.saabnet.com, could find someone else that has had the same issue.

The low beam on passenger side does not work, high beams work on both sides

Hi Greg:
I'd pull the bulbs from both sides and switch them.
You'll know right away if the bulb is the problem.
If low beam on the passenger side still does not work, then there is either a broken wire or bad connection. Make sure the area where the bulb fits into the socket is clean.
Usually there is only one bulb that has both high and low beam.

Driver side headlights not working right

Check the earth connection, sounds like it has lost the earth on the off side and both elements of the bulb are coming on together and halving the power ( causing bad elluimination)

1998 Lincoln Town Car passenger side headlight low beam only.

Hi Steven, I guess you have checked the fuses? Some time (and I'n not saying this is your problem) the fuses are wired in such a way that if one blows (and the fuse is on the earth side of the circuit) there will be an output, but the circuit will either use the earth through the the other bulb or fail to earth. I would also suggest having a look at the relays and their operation. Lastly, check the earth connections again. Regards John
