I have a 2000 ford expedition that goes in reverse it will shift in to all gears but wont drive fw back brakes were bad changed those and still doing samething cant figure out what problem is

My guess would be bad motor mounts have let the engine and transmission shift and now the shifter cable doesn't align as it should

Failed Transmission

bad shifter cable. linkage not on transmission correctly

could be a selector failure. easiest to check first or internall drama with torqu converter ,one way clutch or other. these will require r@r n overhaul

It can be issue with gears or problem with transmission and needs to be rebuilt. Also get the ****** fluid checked. If it's low, then such problems occurs.

The shifter needs to be inspected. If The shifter assembly is got misaligned, it has to be open and realign.

Sounds to me that you need your trans fluid changed and filter. When you do change it use a quart of Lucas transmission conditioner to it. Also check and see if you may have a bad univercel, It will also make it vibrate at faster speeds or your drive shaft may need to be rebalanced.

It can be issue with transmission,most probably it needs to be rebuilt.

Also get the ****** fluid checked. If it's low, then such problems occurs.

Hi James, The gear changes on modern vehicles is often controlled by speed sensors mounted onto each wheel. The sensors also control the ABS, traction control and activate the speedo. Have a diagnostic scan carried out and determine if the sensors are all in working condition. Regards John
