2006 XJ8L - KEY FOB DOESN'T UNLOCK DOOR OR ACTIVATE LIGHTS. DOOR KEY WON'T TURN EITHER DIRECTION

Wow... sorry!

Sounds like you got the wrong car or KEYS...

ELSE...
you are looking at a DEALER/LOCK-SMITH issue...

Do not leave without having at least 3 keys...

If you have 2 working keys... you can add more keys... and introduce a new FOB yourself.

It is a FORD "style" PATS
(passive anti-heft system)

My imoboliser is broken. so how do i start car if imoboliser is broken

General anti-theft devices are connected with the original car ignition switch wiring harness on the firing line first connected to the anti-theft device, drawing a line of fire from the anti-theft device into the ignition switch. You can the combination switch the first guard removed, and then find the ignition switch, disconnect the two lines you will be connected with the anti-theft device, FireWire directly to the original vehicle wiring harness plug connected to the ignition switch on, you can normally start.

CAR ISSUES ANTI THEFT DEVICE

You can't remove the device as you call it, you can bypass the key sensor only. As far as the failed smog test goes that can one of about a dozer problems, some as simple as an oil and filter change. To bypass the VATS passkey security system follow this link.

How do i reset my anti thief system on my 2009 dodge ram 1500

It's possible that you will need assistance from the manufacturer of the Anti Theft device. They may have tto reset the system, as an Anti theft device, any thing construed as 'tampering' with the car, or the device may cause it to shut down, and would need tech support from the manufacturer.

I am having the same issue with my anti-theft device in my 2003 Alero. Last year it stopped running and would not turn-over. $400 later, Brakemax said they just had to reset the anti-theft device. oK,...

the shop that told you they ripped it out only ripped you off unless they removed some aftermarket alarm system i,m a gm mechanic and if you remove the factory anti-theft on a 2003 olds alero it will not run ever again until re-installed make sure your battery is charged good turn igntion switch to run position but do not try to start security light should be flashing let car sit with switch on and light flashing for ten minutes light should stop flashing now start your car this is how to reset anti-theft was that worth $400.00 and again why let a bussiness named brakemax look at a no start condition keep on and you will be BROKE to the max HOPE THIS HELPS AND STAY AWAY FROM THEM YOUR FRIEND @ HELPMAX

My radio in my 05' Honda pilot stopped working. The anti-theft light flashes but there is no display. I tried installing an aftermarket stereo to see if that would work but no power goes to that either....

In my case the solution was a fuse on the passenger side inside fuse box. It is not listed as a fuse for the radio but it is none the less. If your cigarette lighter isn't working either its the fuse. On my 2004 it was fuse # 9 a 15A fuse.
