My PCM feed fuse, number 7 under the hood, keeps blowing.. any ideas why this might be happening? its a police package model

bogus post, fuse told ,is not correct name and now told not it is not blowing,(ouch)
5.3L V8 , now told, ( this fact puts you into the right chapter of the service manual for sure electrics..)
bogus post#2, fuse PCM-B are not blowing but why are you talking about it at all.?? sure other posts else where? guessing?

stop listening to other guessing what is wrong,
all we know is 12vdc power surge, of some kind,
if you looked at the drawings the things that can fail here are huge(vast). I invite you to read the service manual.
yes fuel pumps do short, want to see a pro Duane on youtube , and his scope showing bad commutator segments of a fuel pump?
huge current spikes, sure but that is a guess. (the video is how to find things going bad before they hard fail dead)

so not told , is engine still dead, ? cranks but does not start, , and did you know dead is the most easy failure of all
to find, safe and sound, not moving and dead is easy to test. (like no spark or fuel pressure dead,etc)
hard jobs are failing moving
or is intermittent.
or only in 3 gear
or only up hill.
or only in left turns. (add endless list here) but the point is made.

dead is bliss in my book , and simple tests find out why.

well that is simple , it means a load device is shorted.
and now the harness did not catch fire, and amazing fact.
no engine told and fuse boxs vary by engine there

now an answer me guess engine, or body type , 2door. only
what I do is unplug all load to that fuse, save on blow fuses.
and then connect them back 1 by 1 to see which one blow the fuse. (if still blows no loads) the harness is shorter or hacked.
#24 is listed as 30amps. in the manual typo? or other upped it to see a better harness fire?
it runs the PCM power relay other loads off it are 1amp fused so not that.
toss coin 4.2L answers I flat refuse to do all engine.
the OUTPUT pin of PCM power relay runs 7 major feeds.
best is to rent the service manual and read at page 13

1. MAF shorted.
2. PCM shorted (2pins)
3. evap valve shorted 6 red
4. canister vent solenoid 5 red inked below.
5. ink3 is fuel pump shorted via relay same.
6. feed A (2) injectors all, and EGRV,IMRC, the D +& E feeds
7. feed C (4) inj.1,2,3

E feed too is all O2 sensor heaters that love to short so unplug them first.

No , it has nothing to do with power seats , feed's PCM power relay ,PCM module power diode , vapor management valve , heated O2 sensor . (EVR ) electric vacuum reg. valve , EVAP . canister vent valve . Your best bet , have a qualified repair shop check it out .

Make sure what fuse it is first. You might also wanna look at any fuses and fusible links under the hood.

Sounds like the is a wire shorting to earth

What fuse's ? Ignition , PCM , ? Won't start how ? explain - when you turn key to the start position does any happen ? if nothing happens this is referred to as a no crank - no start , now if the engine turns over but doesn't start , this is referred to as a crank - no start condition. So which does your vehicle have ?

Check pin #16 of diagnostic connector it should have 12 volts. See diagram below. Also did you check the fuses under the hood?

No.6 feeds the park lamp relay and No.9 feeds the fog lamp relay and the daytime running lamp resistor.
They are basically 2 seperate circuits so I would suspect you either have 2 seperate problems or you have an add on accessory like maybe a anti-theft system that ties into both systems?
