Could be leaves and detritus blocking the ventilation air box water drains.

Could be, if the car has a sunroof, the water drain from the sunroof trough. There is generally four drainpipes - running from each corner of the sunroof trough to each corner of the floor of the passenger compartment.
When I service a car I open the sunroof and pour a jug of water into the trough to ensure all four are clear. They sometimes become blocked, perished or dislodged from the outlets onto the ground.

If the water source isn't really easy to discover it is almost certain to be really difficult. With body water ingress there is hardly any happy medium.

Like Vernon said it's probably the drains for the sunroof, if you have a sunroof.
Very common problem. I wouldn't recommend it, but I finally used compressed air to blow my front drains clear, on my 2012 Escape.

RAIN leaks onto passenger side floor... definitely NOT the heater core or windshield.

Year make and model? Some Gm's have a rubber seal that mounts to the body under the windshield cowling. It falls off letting water in threw the air vent/ filter. Silicone it back on.

The floor on the passenger side is soaking afte it rains

1: heater core leaks. (green water)
2: A/C condensate tray drain plugged.
3: or its rain water, if rain water, the windshield cracked?
3a: the cowl is full of leaves and now the cowl vents are packed and the drains are plugged up there, (look in cowl vents) see flood?

if not using A/C at all its the heater.

Rain leaks

NO, it is most likely getting in through the cowl vent area under the wipers. Normally the water drains out the inner fender, but if its clogged with leaves and pine needles, it wont drain and will fill up past the cool air intake and get into the cabin. I would pull the cowl vent grille and make sure the drains are not clogged.

Drive side soaked floor boards.

Could be a plugged drain for the windshield or cowl vents, or the door gasket.
You could try using a garden hose or take it to a body shop.

Water on pass side floor every time it rains think air vent plugged looking for a drain for air vent

check the windshield posts from the inside remove the front a pillars then poor water over the windshield edges accross the top of the roof. Sometimes rust forms between the windshield urethane and the metal surface where the windshield seals. If you see water coming down the post you need to check all the roof seam sealer points for pinholes and under the windshield urethane. You can do this next time you change your windshield. Next check for leaves stuck in the drains of the cowl venting and make sure the drains are free to drain.

2002 Mitsubishi Galant I am getting water accumilating on the passenger side floor board only when it rains. I can't find the leak....also water now travels from front to back passenger floor board....

It sounds as if the drain line from the vent is plugged. You'll need to get under the car (jack stands please ) to locate. In your forward vent where air comes in for your AC or just Vent rain will obviously get in to it. There is a drain hole at the bottom of this to allow water to flow out. With time from dead bugs, leaves, road dirt... this vent can plug. Under the car locate this vent line, place a small wire up within it to remove the blockage. After doing you may want to both test and flush by use of a garden hose. If there is a lot of accumulated debris it might plug back right away and you'll have to clear again.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom

The passenger side of the car on the floor front and back gets wet only when it rains i think its coming from the front of the car (hood) what do i do thanks!

I woul look to see if the cowl drains on wither side of the cowl panel are clear form leaves and dirt. When it is dry, pour water into the cowl vent, under the hood. Water should drain out behind each tire, from the body. Ithe water does not run out, you will need to remove the cowl, and clean out the drains.

Everytime it rains really hard rain gets in the car. There is a 2 or 3 inches in the passenger side floor board.

I have the same problem with my 91' 318. Water is coming in from the outside air intake at the base of the front windshield, under the black vent covers. If the basin fills up, water enters the vent system throught the outside air intake. Solution: there is a drain line at the fire wall, easily accessible between the firewall and engine block. It drains water from the basin. It becomes clogged with dirt, and prevents water from draining. However, after further inspection of mine I noticed that during periods of HEAVY rain, even a clean drain line is inadequate to drain that volume of water and the same happens. See attached link. Good Luck
