Read out the codes, fix the faults , cancel the codes, test drive if any codes come back the fault is not fixed , it won't come out of limp mode till the faults are fixed.
Limp home mode is triggered when the management ECU recognises a fault. The fault is not usually obvious and diagnosis usually starts with a code read and probably an examination of live data with a scan tool.
The faulty item should then be removed and tested and repaired or replaced and then the recorded fault code cleared and the live data rechecked to verify a good repair.
Often even after a repair has been completed limp mode will continue until the code has been cleared with diagnostic equipment.
If your mechanic is clearing the code he should also be able to diagnose the code he is clearing. Your transmission is in safe mode or limp home. Take it to a shop that knows what they are doing
As for p1624 this code is for the accent only.
p1613 means the same thing but for the elantra, the
code means malfunction indicator light(mil) signal
circuit input high volt. p0137 means ho2sensor high
voltage (fuel pressure out of range high) p0732 is a
transmission code. It means that due to a malfunction in the trans. circuit, the trans. will operate in limp mode meaning you have reverse and
one forward gear in this case 2nd gear. That brings
us to p0740 this code indicates a malfunction with
the damper clutch control solenoid at the trans. this
would cause the p0732 limp mode. But if your car
is not showing any of these problems, the cause may
be the engine control module or the transmission
control module. But this would have to be checked
with the proper test scanner. Hope this helps.
your car is going into limp mode due to a code in the system. Limp mode only performs the car to get to the dealer, and save the transmission so no further damage is done. Take it to the dealer and have them read the transmission codes and the abs system codes just in case.
