2008 dodge avenger code p2004 - Dodge Cars & Trucks

Code p 2004 refers to intake manifold air control actuator , bank 1---actuator stuck open or for second case --solenoid stuck open====causes --wiring---intake manifold air control actuator---intake manifold air actuator solenoid---mechanical fault
I would suggest checking the free movement of the actuator and then replacing the solenoid

Intake Manifold runner control stuck open - bank one:
- Intake Manifold Runner Binding Or Sticking
- Faulty Manifold flow valve
- Manifold flow valve harness is open or shorted
- Manifold flow valve circuit poor electrical connection

There is a factory service bulletin for this problem for 2007-2008 Dodge Avengers. (JS)
