2004. How can we obtain and use the radio code?

The only way to obtain the code is to speak to a car radio specialist ,take the car or radio to a ford dealer but before that I would check the book pack that came with the car if it has one as the radio code is on a sticker inside the radio booklet

When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio.
The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your Volvo service centre and get them to enter this code for you.

Hopefully it's somewhere with the paper work for your car, should be 5 digits. If not the
dealer will have to get radio serial no. to obtain the code. Good luck.

Yes if you have your VIN # your dealer will provide the code.

You need the code, to get that you need the car's VIN and the radio serial number. Go to www.radio-codes.com to obtain the code for a fee.

You need enter the THEFT SECURITY CODE... recently unplugged the battery or change the car radio? When this occur, the LOCK CODE is request by the audio system. Can find it in the bakc side radio (need take off) or visit your dealer with ths VIN and Serial number to obtain this information (sometimes need to pay for this).

there is a five digits code ( numbers only ) that came with the car when you purchased it.
you can obtain the code by pulling the radio out and write down the serial number printed behind the radio.
take the number to the dealer and they can get you the code then use that code to unlock your radio

Your radio is most likely in "safe mode", an anti-theft feature. There's a 4-digit code that will need to be entered in order to get the radio operational. The code may be on a label inside the spare tire well in your trunk (some years). Otherwise the code can be obtained from the VW dealer with the car's VIN number and serial number from your radio.

I had the same problem. I called the original dealership where the car was first sold and they kept records. I obtained the identity of the dealership through my local dearership using the VIN code.
