You may want to inspect the "pass-through" connector for water contamination, and/or related wiring for corrosion.

658 is a unknown code on the list,is your active or inactive,iif inactive I would not worry about it

if it won't shift into 3rd either automatically or manually, then your 3rd/4th gear clutch is worn out. You're probably looking at a rebuild.

A few common causes are low or dirty transmission fluid, or faulty shift solenoids. The transmission uses fluid pressure to shift the gears, and does so using electronic solenoids. If there is an issue with either of these the vehicle may experience problems shifting or transferring power to the wheels. If these are not the problem then it could be possible that the transmission is having internal faults, perhaps a worn torque converter, or transmission gears, inside of the transmission. As issues like these can sometimes be difficult to diagnose, if you are unsure, I would recommend having a professional technician look ay it.

Did you at any time change at all the automatic transmission fluid? If you did,are you sure you did use the correct specification auto oil?

I have a 01 Chevy 2500. With the 1000 series Allison. I just had the fort main sealed replaced. But now I think my truck went into limp mode. It won't shift outta 3rd gear but if there is any solution...

Have the fault codes read. Replace faulty items. Use only
genuine items as replacement as non-genuine are not always compatible with the OEM fitted CPU units. This results in the fault codes not cancelling out. possible a failed shift solenoid that is causing the problem

Problem with a 2003 Dodge Ram, fault codes indicate a transmission Malfuncting.Tcm scan reveals pressure switch open or closed at wrong time.

Pto on 2500 4 wd

Maybe aftermarket, but unlikely especially if it's not a current HD model. I've seen it on a 2001 2500HD but very rare. It has dash mounted controls. It would probably have to have an allison transmission. Just below, where the transmission rear output shaft comes out, there will be an attached pump with High Pressure lines coming out of it. If there is a cover plate there instead it might mean it's capable of having one but this is one of those questions like "If you have to ask, you probably don't have it"
