1993 jeep grand Cherokee Larado stalling for no reason. we have looked or changed coil, fuel pump, relays, cam sensor inside distributor, this thing still stalls out, but starts right back up.

We are thinking wire harness around coil or computer. all of these components are directly related....coil, fuel pump, relays, ignition switch, starter, etc...cannot figure out why this vehicle keeps stalling...almost like a bad wire grounding in the harness...HELP!!!

Crank sensor. Its on the passenger side on the top of tranny. Will have either 1 or 2 10mm bolts holding it on. And a plug. My 94 had the same problem. It would run fine then you shut it off and all it woild do is crank. Wait like an hour and it will start back up. New crank sensor and it was fine

1993 jeep cherokee won't start

MAKE SURE DISTRIBUTOR CAP ,ROTOR, SPARKPLUGS AND WIRES, OKAY IF ALL HAS BEEN REPLACED.IF NOT GETTING SPARK PROBLEM COULD BE IGNITION COIL FAULTY, ASD RELAY FAULTY,DISTRIBUTOR WITH CAMSHAFT SENSOR FAULTY OR YOU HAVE FAULTY PCM. CODE SCAN VECHICLE FOR FAULT CODE, IF YOU ARE GETTING SPARK PROBLEM IN THE FUEL SYSTEM, CHECK FUEL PUMP RELAY AND FUSE MAKE SURE FUEL FILTER BEEN CHANGED AND FUEL PRESSURE IS 39 - 41 PSI. CHECK FOR FUEL SPARK SEE WHAT GOING ON, VECHICLE NEEDS FUEL OR SPARK TO RUN IF ONE NOT WORKING ENGINE WILL NOT START.

My 1997 jeep grand cherokee limited died on the road now it wont start back battery is still good it seems like its out of gad but there is gas in the tank

If you can hear the pump running inside the tank right after it stalls and you turn the key to the run position, I'd be looking at the crank position sensor. If that fails, fuel will reach the fuel rail but the injectors won't fire. Also check cam sensor, pump relay and ASD relay in power distribution center.

My Grand cherokee 4.7 1999 does not run the engine

Likely the sensor involved is the crank position sensor, next in line would be the cam sensor. You could also have a bad fuel pump or pump relay. Crank sensor is on the bellhousing at about 11 o'clock looking from the rear. It is even with the position of the flywheel. cam sensor is inside or is your distributor, depending upon your system. All are expensive so I recommend that you run some tests outlined in haynes, chiltons or other decent repair manuals before changing anything.

1993 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO- TRUCK WONT

OK...I have a 93 outside...one diagram I have shows an ignition module next to coil...but there is none on mine, (4.0 engine)
Two items to check are crank sensor and cam sensor inside distributor. Test procedure can be found in just about any manual including haynes.
You will need a decent volt/ohm meter to do testing. You can also check codes by turning ignition switch on/off three times, leaving it on the third time. Check engine will flash code #'s (ex: one flash, pause two flashes= the number twelve.then followed by a longer pause then another set of flashes etc.)
