Did you check STOP LP fuse 15amp. in the rear fuse block ? Do you know where this is. Fuse Block - Rear Under the rear seat, on the left side of the floor pan.
The STOP LP fuse in the fuse block - rear supplies battery positive voltage to the normally open stop lamp switch. When the driver presses the brake pedal, the switch contacts close. The battery positive voltage flows to the left stop lamp assemblies, to the right stop lamp assemblies and to the center high mounted stop lamp (CHMSL). The left stop lamp and the CHMSL have ground at G402. The right stop lamp has ground at G401.
Did you check for power at the stop lamp switch ? both in an out of the switch with brake pedal pressed ?

Parking brakes light on for oldsmobile Aurora 2001

If the cable is not too corroded you can sometimes lift it by hand so that it will trip the parking brake switch and turn off the light.I have had to replace the parking brake assembly on both of my Auroras to get the system functioning again. The cables corrode just where the first cable comes through the body and connects to the next intermediate cable. The entire brake pedal assy. needs to be replaced ($65.00) for the part.

Instrument panel some lights out(2001 aurora). How do I change the bulbs?

Cluster lights are soldered into the pc board, You need to remove the trim around the cluster, then the cluster itself. Find out what lights are out when the cluster is still in place, This is quite difficult because you have to remove the gauge needle(s) gas speedometer and tach, then the cluster can be separeted from the glass part. I ordered the lights from ebay, I hear that radio shack has some lightbulbs that might work as well. Don't forget that they are soldered in place they are not light bulbs that can be twisted or pulled off, good luck if you attemp to do this.

I have a 1995 Oldsmobile Aurora and the brake lights are not working, I replaced both bulbs and the lights work but not when you depress the brakes, please help?

If the third brake light works than I would bet that the turn signal switch is bad.

Try this. With the brake pedal depressed try wiggle the turn signal lever and pushing/pulling on the four way flasher button. If the brake lights come on at any point while doing this than the switch is definitely bad.

Replaced brake pads on my 2001 Oldsmobile aurora and now make a moaning sound at times help!

I would try to see if the shims were put on the brake pads.
Try to check if the shims off of the old brake pads are still on the old ones and see if you can put them on the new brake pads.

How do you change the brakelight on a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora

pop the trunk and you should see two screws along the rear taillight assembly. remove the screws and the taillight assembly should pop out. you can then twist the bulb and pop it out along with the harness, put the new bulb in and reverse.

If it's your 3rd brake light, the bolts holding it in against the rear window will be found inside your trunk along the top side of your trunk (get in and look up)
