Apparently the PCM is not getting correct data from the sensors of your vehicle and is shutting down the injectors to prevent damage to your engine. Sounds like a spark control / timing problem. As the rpm increases the cylinders are not firing at the correct intervals.. This could cause a backfire , engine damage or possibly a fire condition. Thus the pcm shuts down the injectors. Have the sprk control module /timing checked.

It could be a wiring problem in the circuit or the injectors have a resistance problem or maybe even the injector drivers in the computer have a problem or are bad.

SOURCE: 1985 Volvo 240 no fuel no spark

well first the fuel pump relay is bad, that is easily replaced. next you have no spark. the first thing you do is take the cap off the distributerand crank the engine. if it spins that tell syou thyat at least the tang or gear on the shaft of the distributor is ok and not broken. next thing is remove the #1 plug and use a 1/4 drive extension 6" long and turn the crank by hand until the #1 cylinder is top dead center(put the extension in the hole of head where the plug was and you should feel the top of the piston also make sure you can feel the top of the piston with half the extension this way you don't drop it in the cylinder with the piston at TDC(top dead center) the rotor of the distributor should be pointed at the #1 firing position. IF it does not that means your timing is off and you need to retime it by taking off timing cover and either replacing the belt/chain or gears. now if you do not have a distributor and you have a coil pack there could be only 2 things that won't give spark. either a bad coil or your altenater is bad(the battery is responsible for starting not running the vehicle like alot of people assume. the altenator energizes the coil which inturngives spark. hope this helps you please rate this thanks

SOURCE: 92 CAMARO Z28 5.7 TPI CRANKS IDLES, GOES DEAD

Have you tried to pull any DTC codes. Here is a link for you so you can pull some codes, but you may have a bad Ignition Control Module (ICM) it's around $40.00 at Auto Zone and they can give you the step by step instruction to replacing it with common tools. The ICM is common to go bad after a few years due to time and corrosion. It's location is under the rotor in the distributor, as it heats up if fails or any changes in the engine speed. Check the wires to make sure there are no damages. Keep me posted be glad the help. http://www.troublecodes.net/GM/

SOURCE: The car cranks but won't start. There is no spark,

If you remove the fuel line and crank the engine and get fuel then you could be assured that the crank sensor works but if there is no fuel while cranking then the crank sensor is most likely the fault. If the crank sensor is not the problem then it is most likely in the coil or distributor which the 97 is notorious for.

My 95 LT1 Z28 will start but only run feathering the gas also will not straight up throttle up. Opti spark dist?

Run the fault codes first. If that doesn't show anything unplug the MAF sensor and see if it runs better, you will get a Check engine light, if so then replace the MAF sensor. Also check the fuel pressure.

Car won't start

So then the next questions are - - do you have spark to the plugs and power and pulse ground to the injectors ?

Engine runs for a total of 5 minutes then shuts as though to run out of fuel. Whats happening?

You'll have to do some investigating to find out.
First, is it a lack of spark to the plugs, or fuel to the injectors ?
Then, is it something getting hot like a relay or the coil, or something like a build up of pressure in the gas tank.
