SOURCE: air conditioning won't work on 2000 subaru outback
the most common cause of course is a low system refrigerent charge, this would be due to a leak, the most common cause of leakage is the front shaft seal of the AC compressor
SOURCE: There's warm air blowing out of the driver-side
Most of the time the dash has to come out to access the actuators on the heater box.
SOURCE: heater and air conditioner aren't working
first check and if the thermostat is working. take it out put it in hot water. the thermostat should open up. also put a temp gauge in the hot water so you know at what temp it opens up. start there. dont forget theres more fuses under the hood for the ac unit
SOURCE: i have a 2001 Subaru
If you dont have the proper gages and know how to test for leaks I would suggest to leave it alone and take it to a garage where they have the know how and tools for the job.
SOURCE: My subaru svx will sometime
sir: i have this problem with my 1992 subaru svx lsl. when i am driving the car it sometimes shuts off. no warning and no indication. the fuel pump and the fuel filter are new. a parts manager at a subaru dealer in MASS. told me it may be the fuel control modulator under the rear deck by the rear speakers. take off the covering to see it. it may be the yellow wire ground. or it may be the fuel pump relay to the right of the steering column under the dash. dave [email protected]
