Unless you have a hydraulic press and strong knowledge of how to remove it, I suggest you go to a parts store and buy the whole hub assembly and replace the whole thing.

SOURCE: Change front wheel bearings

u will need to remove the brake cailper and the the brake rotor, then the hub retaining nut, that is a large metric nut, the bearing and hub must come off, then u will need to take this hub to a machine shop or the dealer and have the new bearing pressed in.

SOURCE: chey aveo front hub bearing what is this?

yes front wheen drives have hub bearings. Most of them need the hubs to be pressed apart to replace them. the hub bearing supports the end of the CV drive shaft closest to the wheel. hope that helps.

SOURCE: I need to change right front wheel bearing on 96 honda accord

It's not a easy job you will need a press to take the old one out and replace the new one, my advice to you is take the steering knockle out and have your local shop press the bearing out for you and put the new one in. This way you just have to bolt everything back up and your good to go.

What is the torque setting for the front wheel bearing on a 2009 Chevy Aveo?

There is now specific toqure for wheel bearing nuts in general .
Its more of a feel thing bring it down slowly with no brake parts interfering when you rotate the rotor. You will fell it getting harded to turn .You want some restiance but not to much .
And I find a lot of times when the bearings have been replaced repacked you have to retighten them after a few thousand miles .
Its common sence the bearing has to be tight so the wheel isn't moveing side to side but it has to spin freely or the bearing will be distroyed .

How to replace a front wheel bearing chevy aveo

Once the Chevy aveo steering knuckle is removed, place the knuckle between 2 wood blocks and us e the correct size socket to pound out the hub and then do the same with the bearing. The bearing is in a 2" race shell with a roller bearing and seal on both ends. It can actually be pulled apart. Carefully pound the new bearing, then hub into the knuckle. Use the sockets if you have to.l Don't fret if the bearing comes apart. You can put it together when the shell is pounded in, before the hub is put in. The brass hub nut tightened to 221 ft lbs will tighten it all up. I did both sides of my Aveo with no problem.

My back right wheel locked why and what can I do

The exact same thing happened to my 2004 Aveo on the same side. I had it towed to the mechanics and they informed me that GM glues the shoes to the pads and when they seperate they jam up and that locks your wheel. I had to get new brakes on the back so I just did the entire car in case they were all like that. Hope this helps.

Passenger rear wheel locked up, 2004 Chevy Aveo LS, person said parking brake was stuck.. coiuld it have frozen that way?

This also happened to my 2004 Chevy Aveo. The drivers side rear wheel locked up when it first got extremely cold in December 2009. I had to change the rear wheel cylinder because it broke. They also found the rear wheel bearing also had to be changed. GM charges $180 for 1 rear wheel bearing. To make matters worse I had to order the whole backing plate which came with the rear wheel cylinder and a whole bunch of hardware.
If you look in the GM manual it says that you should flush and change your brake fluid every 24 months. My mechanic told me that moisture normal wrecks the brake cylinder. I'm not sure what happened to the wheel bearing but from now on I'll make sure to flush my brake fluid every 24 months.
