This am i got a clicking noise i put the charger on the battery and now i get nothing, what can it be?
In some instances the starter is what makes the clicking noise. By putting the charger on it, you may have overloaded the charging system, and blew the starter relay and/or fuse. replace both of these. If the car still does the clicking noise, and does not start, make sure first that the connection on the battery, the starter, and the ground on the chassi (frame) are clean and secure. This will cause a battery to lose it's charge, and the battery to go dead. However, before charging the battery, ensure that these are all clean, relay and fuse(s) for starter and ignition are good. If the car does not start, rather than charging the battery, jump start the car with jumper cables (other car). If the car starts, pull both terminals off the battery - if the car stays running, the alternator is good. If it does not, the alternator is bad and needs replaced. Be careful however disconnecting the battery as these newer cars (some) have codes for the stereo system that must be known for the stereo to work again - if your car has a factory/dealership alarm system, then you most likely have this system. I suggest, first and foremost inquiring with your dealership as to wether or not you'll need this code for your stereo.
