SOURCE: on a 2001 saab 93 turbo can can you bypass the ac

You can bypass both the AC compressor and the middle serpentine idler pulley with a 6PK1790. The middle pulley is bypassed by running the belt straight line from the upper rear serpentine idler straight to the power steering pulley, then over the water pump (the smooth pulley powered by the back side of the belt) and down to the engine drive pulley (harmonic balancer), bypassing the AC compressor) This works fine. On 9.5 models, the same basic idea, but a slightly different sized belt.

SOURCE: 04 saab 93 turbo ran

you may have to crank for awhile to purge the entire system of air. If that doesnt work you may want to check the fuel filter and fuel pump. If you ran the vehicle dry then all the junk that was sitting on the bottom of your fuel tank is now in your fuel filter and could have clogged it.

SOURCE: how do you do a compression test on a 04 saab 93

Screw the adapter into the spark plug hole

I would not do that

Do a cylinder leak down test

That way you know if the valves
actually seal, then you can assume the
compression is up the specs or close

Need help with ac comperssor on 1999 saab 9 3 turbo, tried recharging and the compessor just wont kick on. Any suggestions on where to start

I would check the fuses first. After you confirm the fuses are good, I’d unplug the compressor and turn on the ac inside the car. With a test light or voltmeter, one of the wires should have positive voltage. Assuming the climate control unit inside the car is working correctly. If one has power when u switch it on inside and then when U turn it off the wire that had power doesn’t anymore then check to make sure the other wire is grounded. If it is the compressor is bad. Now if you don’t have enough Freon in the car it won’t kick on. The low pressure switch will prevent it from kicking on. Does your fans kick on when you turn on the ac inside? You can take and apply power to the compressor with a jumper wire from the positive terminal
On the battery and hook it to the positive wire on the compressor. If the compressor kicks on it’s good and it’s not the compressor.

Heat temp gauge on motor if faulty can it effect the cooling temp of the air conditioning on a saab 93 convertible 2002 model

No. The engine temp sensor affects engine idle speed, and timing. There is an in car temp sensor that controls the position of the blend door and the fan speed if the system has automatic temperature control. It also cycles the AC compressor clutch and the radiator cooling fans.

Saab 93 convertable, Rain water fills the drivers footwell when the car is parked downhill.

I am not sure if it is the same problem I had with my '04 93 SS, but there is a cabin air filter that has a drain next to it that allows the rain water to run down to the ground. Mine was clogged up with leaves and other junk which caused the rain water to leak through the filter into the cabin. Being that yours is a different body style, your filter may be on the drivers side which would cause this. I would try to look up where your Cabin Air Filter is and try to clean the drain.
