Why can't I get any sound out of my radio?

If the radios do not have the same connections on them, you can buy a wiring harness from a car stereo dealer in your area. If you are lucky, the radios will have the same connectors, and the one radio will just plug into the other vehicle and work fine.

It hard to say, it could be the radio itself not putting out any sound or it could be the external amplifier. assuming the radio work fine, than it will be the external amplifier or visa-versa. the radio out put low frequency sound which we call it pre-amp line which run to and connected to the ext. amperfier, ext. amprefier then amplify the sound to the speakers. if the ext. amplifier if faulty than you will get no sound even though the radio is working properly. hope that make sense..good luck, if you need to replace the stock ext. amplifier, check on ebay for good deal, don't buy it new from a dealer, will cost you arm and a leg. you can also just replace the new entired radio systems (after market) but use the same speakers.

We had the same problem. Pull the premium amplifier fuse and put it back in. This resets the premium audio amplifier. Should be good as new after this reset.

YOU WILL HAVE TO TRACE THE WIRES OUT, DO U HAVE A SEPERATE AMPLFIER? MANY OF THESE VANS DO, IF SO THAT IS THE PROBLEM.

I had avery similar problem with my radio. At first I would lose audio but it would eventually come back. Then I lost it for good. I replace the radio and that work for a bit and then replaced the speakers and they worked for a bit. Eventually no audio. I took the radio and speakers back to the tech who installed them and he found a short in the speaker wiring to the passenger speakers. He installed a jumper around the short and the new radio and speakers worked fine. Then I had him put in the original raidio and speakers and have had audio ever since.

does your system have power amplifier aside from your built in amp on radio? if yes, disconnect all supply then put new fuse. try this time, should not blow the fuse. then one by one, connect the supply fo your radio only, if ok, then next is the amplifier, if it blow the fuse, your power amplifier has an issue.

Sometime the computer in car will shut down a circuit when it sees a problem even if it only occure once. You can try to disconnect the battery for at least 2 min so all sys power off (some have capacitors that mantaine a charge for short time). If a battery disconnect does not clear problem you have go to dealer and have them to clear codes and reset you modules and your preferences

yes it sounds as though you had a power spike and the computer took the brunt of it you may try ebay for a replacment audio computer please rate-jeff

hi there im going to try to help you with this strange problem. i have a voyager and my switch will move with no key as well . i replaced the ignition switch and i havent had a problem since. order the new switch from your local dealer and replace it yourself be careful with the airbag if your not familiar with this system dont play with it before doing some reaserch first anyhow good luck with problem
