Coolant is leaking from my 2000 chrysler cirrus. I can not see where the leak is exactly. Is there any way I can isolate the leak. Is the stop leak they sell at Auto Store a viable solution.

Stop leak is last resort, or cheap way out in emergency situation, but remember, sometimes it can clog up some parts of heater & cooling system. Take it to a rad shop, or auto repair place & have the cooling system pressure tested. It will confirm if there is a leak, and they should have dye that they can add to coolant when leak is hard to find, or if they suspect head gasket leak. Then they run engine for while & shine a blacklight all over engine & into exhaust pipe, to see glow of dye, to confirm where coolant is going.

I have a 2000 Chrysler cirrus and have had a problem with the engine smoking underneath where u put in the steering fluid (located underneath the lip where the passenger wiper is when hood is up) I've...

its hard to diagnose this with out looking at the motor and finding the leak... sounds like you have some power steering fluid leaking onto your motor. check the power steering lines for leaks. fix the leak..and clean the motor.. if you cannot find a leak.. try power washing the motor... do this by turning on the car and degreasing the motor where you see oil stay away from the spark plugs and distributor and battery terminals while washing the motor.. Good luck..

How can i stop coolant leakage from my chrysler cirrus 2000

Depends where it is leaking. If it is leaking on top of the transmission bell housing it is probably the o ring on the back of the thermostat housing. (there is a rather large tube that carries coolant from the water pump on the other side of the engine to the t stat housing.) If the leak is passenger side it could be the water pump or the o ring on the other side of the earlier mentioned tube ( the tube runs under the intake manifold in the V of the engine). Other areas it could be the heater hoses or the upper or lower radiator hoses. Also a bad head gasket will do it also, signs of that can be water in your oil ( oil that is tan in color is a sign of moisture ) but you still can have a blown head gasket without water in the oil. A leaking heater core can also be a problem (wet area on the passenger side floor can be a sign of this) Also a worn radiator cap can leak into the overflow bottle and out on the ground. A sign of this is a over flow bottle that is completely full inspect the rubber seal an the cap or just replace it. The t stat housing problem is unique to the 2.5 v6 and the housing is tricky to remove. I described this procedure on wiki answer. Google - Thermostat housing 2.5 v6 water pipe 1996 and you will find it the instructions apply actually to a 1999 but is similar for most chrysler 2.5 v6's

I can't find any leaks and have to keep refilling the radiator on my 96 chrysler cirrus.

Check your oil if the level has raised its because you have blown a head gasket which lets coolant in the motor so it wont leak out but leaks in if that makes sense, hope it helps

2000 Chrysler Cirrus engine jerking while in reverse, drive and also while sitting in driveway. Seems like while in drive/reverse car wants to shut down. Check Engine light on, was flashing for a minute...

the valve cover gaskets were leaking oil around the spark plug boots making the boot swell and causing a voltage leak. the engine misfired and stop lights. i did a tune up with new cover gaskets, plugs, wires, cap and rotor and she runs like a top. vrooom, vrooom!!
