The switch is on the ceiling behind your head as you sit in the car. Really weird. Mine was off. Works now!

SOURCE: Dashboard and tail lights out on 97" Nissan Sentra

I took my pathfinder to U-HAUL and asked them to check the towing lights. There was a pinched wire by my tail light and they cut it and changed it out for me, it was $5. I am so glad that I didnt take it to Nissan. My second step was going to be getting a new dimmer switch..but the guy who worked on my car said that wouldnt be the problem. He also told me that replacing a fuse that kept blowing out was dangerous and after the first time to get it checked out. Learn something new every day!!

SOURCE: what does the

Maintenance light is turned on when your vehicle is due for service. It is set to turn on at a certain mileage. At minimum, you need an oil change service and what ever is required at your mileage interval. Resetting the light is as simple as, Ignition Key in the off position, press and hold the odometer button, Turn the ignition key on and continue to hold the odometer button for at least ten seconds. If properly done, you will see dashes across your odometer as you hold the button, until the odometer reading reappears. Hope this helps. Please leave feedback.

SOURCE: Hyundai Elantra 2003 electrical problem

I found that while checking my fuses that i had pulled out what looked like a black plastic "fuse puller" that was actually some kind of jumper. I had accidentally re-installed it reversed. I reversed it back to its original position and all lights, clock, radio, etc.. work normal now.

the fuse being blown is a sign of something wrong-just replacing the fuse doesn't fix the reason it blew-you have a short probably in the interior lights-the wiring goes up inside your headliner and may have gotten a wire pinched or rubbed through causing the short-cheers Denny

Not sure, but I've heard a bad hazard switch can cause strange problems.
Also, if your truck has a body control module that controls interior and lights, that may be your problem, too. Good luck.

The interior of the fuse box has the same diagrams as would have been on the vehicles manual or user guide. Once opening the fuse box, lookk in the cover for the diagram. Second, a blown fuse is observable within the circuitry. Third, the vehicle should indicate within the dashboard what condition is occuring. For example, the vehicle should display indication warning on requesting lighting inspection or alternate.

Tail lights dont go on

Most likely a fuse or circuit breaker. Check your fuse box for a blown fuse. I assume your brake lights still work. Yeah, that's scary alright. You were lucky not to get a ticket.

Turn up the dimmer switch on the left side of the dashboard. If the lights do not brighten, the switch may have failed.
