I took it for a drived and the car started to stall and turned off. check thermostat cause the gage went all the way to ig and it messed up that thermostat too. now my car wont start. what could it be. does it has a sensor where if it over heats it turns off. it blew the second thermostat why?
I think that your engine may have seized up. If the new thermostat was installed in the correct direction, I believe that the radiator was plugged up, which caused the engine to over heat. But it could also be that the impellers in the water pump have eroded away. I have never heard of a sensor that shuts off the engine during an over heat event. Excessive heat may have damaged the new thermostat.

It sounds like you have air in the system. Try having system bled and see if that changes anything. Also make sure that the fans are operational.
