You need to hook up a set of AC pressure gauges to the low side charging port and read the system pressures with the AC compressor turned on and running, it should be around 28-32 PSI. If the compressor press is correct you have some other problem like a broken air temperature control blend door inside the dash air ducting.
Heat is only supplied through floor ducts, as hot air tends to rise up to ceiling to create circulation of hot air inside the car, same way cold air (AC) is only supplied through roof ducts as cold air tends to settle down.
Have the line checked from the AC to the engine where it gets the heat. Check if there are loose tubes or the coolant may be low which may account for low transfer or heat. Check as well the air vents under the dashboard. The warm air may be blocked or not being channeled correctly due to debris or bad ducts.
It is in the blend motor under the dash, this is water cycles it between locations. You will have to get it from dealer. It is bolted on under dash on either the passenger side or driver side of center console dealer can tell you exactly where it is. They are not usually that much.
sounds like you have a slipping AC compressor drive belt. at low engine rpm it is less noticeable... check all belts also check for any siezed up idler pulleys...
If you have dual climate control, you most likely have a low freon level. The evaporator can get cold enough for the passenger side (where the evaporator is located), but not cold enough to transfer cold air to the passenger side. Have it inspected for a leak and the freon level topped off.
I had the same problem. Took it to an AC guy and they told me it was going to cost $1,400 to replace all kinds of parts. I didn't get it done right away because I went on vacation. When I got back from vacation the air blows cold. It hasn't gone back to blowing hot since.
Please check for any blockage and in the ac duct, IF the duct is clean you need to refill the AC gas and get it serviced as the AC thens to weak over the years ........................
