Hi Antron, here's a link to your Cadillac codes,P1574 is stop light switch, that switch is attached to your brake pedal. http://www.engine-light-help.com/cadillac-check-engine-light.html Here's another link to what the stop light switch look's like.First look and see if your's is just loose and needs tightening,if bad, then remove electrical connector, then part and take to Autopart store and match up with new one and then install, http://www.autozone.com/electrical-and-lighting/stoplight-switch/duralast-stoplight-switch/cadillac/seville-sts/2000/8-cylinders-9-4-6l-sfi-dohc-ho/363562_0_0

you will need to remove the parking brake cable from the caliper then remove the lower slide pin bolt, flip the caliper up and pull out the old pads and install the new ones. You should get the rotors machined for the best braking performance or replace them.

SOURCE: How do I R&R front motor mounts on 2000 cadillac sts

Very easy, just remove front tires and unbolt, BUT I doubt you are asking right question. Not mounts, but mount in dead front center is problem. There are 4 mounts, transmission center back, left center and right center and front center. That takes full torque of motor and heat from exhaust. GM has a shield for exhaust.

What grade oil for 2000 Cadillac Seville 130000

Cadillac recommends using a 5w-30 oil. My 2000 STS has 125k and I use Castrol full synthetic 5w-30 oil with no problems. I'm also from the old school regarding oil and filter changes. For me it's still every 3000 miles.

2000 Cadillac sts starter stays engaged with the key in the run position.

sounds like the solenoid is engaged throwing the bendix into the flex plate and allowing current into the starter motor, things to check 1 make sure the bendix is not sticking holding on the solenoid , the solenoid lets more power flow to the starter from the battery. 2 faulty solenoid, 3) faulty ignition switch... hope that helps
