The only gear that works is 2 I have it tore apart and the only way to get that gear to work is to squeeze the wiring and the push button at the same time.

Hellow, i have a nissan Tiida 2007 and my O\D button not working i tested it befor and worked perfectly but know at P,N and L when i push it the light come on but in D and 2 when i push it nothing...

Most likely the wire between the button and the overdrive solenoid is apart, or insulation off so it is grounding, or bad connections at switch, or at solinoid. Or power supply to the switch is bad or connection loose, or possible the switch itself is bad.

How do i put in gearbox oil

hard to change gears is a clutch problem mainly so make sure that the clutch is operating properly ( makes no difference if hydraulic or cable)
Drain out the oil from the drain plug on the bottom of the box. clean the magnet on the plug. check for metal bits as this indicates bearings or gear problems. Replace the plug. About half way up the side of the box you will find another plug. Remove it. The oil you are using should be to makers specs but I prefer a 80-90 epw gear oil as the gears do a lot of work and need that extra tension in the oil to keep the teeth apart. Some makers recommend 30 grade straight mineral oil (not engine oil) but use what is recommended. You get the gear oil in 1ltre bottles ( pint or quart) and they now have an extendible plastic hose that you pull out. Put that in the plug hole and squeeze the bottle. Will probably use 2 and 1 half bottles depending on the box. Squeeze in oil until it flows back out the fill hole. Let it level out as that is the correct level of oil for the box. refit the plug tight

1998 chevy s10 Head unit and dash display not working

You may have damaged the instrument cluster. The PCM has to receive a code from the instrument panel to start. Its part of the security system. Beyond checking fuses you are going to have to take it to a qualified mechanic with the proper diagnostic equipment. It sounds like you wired something incorrectly

Auto door lock mechanism not being able to open

The gears inside the mechanism are going out before long it won't open or close the lock, does it make a weird motor noise every time you try to? I tore one apart hoping I could just turn the stripped gears inside 180 degrees and it would work for a while longer but only found out they don't work like that and will require a new mechanism.

Gear shifter button will not press in

Take the casing apart, make sure the spring is intact. This is activated when you turn the ignition key so make sure all wires are in good shape. While apart, determine the key is doing what it needs to unlock the shifter. You will see the mechanism. If it works fine, be sure nothing is impeding the shifter. You can also, with your finger, push the pin to shift gears. In some cars, you can break it off and never have to worry about it again. The danger there is that it can go into gear any time.

Can not get toyota cororlla out of park. would not turn over. battery good

Start the engine, depress the brake pedal, press the oval push button attached to the upper side of the gear lever stick and shift the lever to R, N, or D. It should work. If not check the following:
- Push button mechanism and the solenoid for malfunction.
- Brake switch assembly.
- Wiring harness.
You can also release the gear lever by pressing the small red button located on the base of gear lever stick. Simultaneously press the small red button and the push button of the gear lever stick to get it out from P.

Driver side window will not roll down. Used to have a short and would work when the wire harness was squeezed between door and frame when door opened.

Sounds like a broken wire at the harness where you squeezed. The broken wire is inside the insulation within the rubber protective tube. Must take it apart and rejoin with solder or a new section of wire.

Gear shift button hard to push

Well the fuse could be the problem but I would doubt that.. Is the button itself dirty in any way? Sometimes the manufactuer just make faulty parts. Has it always done that? Is it just sticking? Can you hear plastic grinding when you force it? I believe it's a problem with the switch itself. Not the operational system of the vehicle...
